    5. when and How I can I make reservations for Houdini show and Rock circus show? I don’t anywhere in the App.
do you think kids will enjoys these two carousel lounge shows?

    6. Is there a lobster night on MSC Meraviglia like they do on Royal and Carnival?  If so,How many can you order?

    7. I see we need to link credit card to our account once onboard - any advantage doing this as soon as possible? Should I do it the first thing on board?

    8. I will be driving to the port and parking fee is $315 yikes!!😱  - Is parking lot big enough? Will I find a spot without any issues? What time do you suggest I get there? Around 10am?

Anytime dining is easy on carnival. Both of you go to the Mdr, push the button and it matched me with a table within 10 minutes while I sat in the waiting area. Then the 2 of you walk up and show the table number. Carnival does this so much better than royal. I've often posted I wish royal would take lessons from carnival on anytime dining.

    Hello!

sorry to bother you again but what do you mean by “push the button”?

do you recommend talking to Maitre D on day 1 as soon as getting onboard?

  6. Hello!

I am getting so excited as I will be onboard Carnival Magic in 2 weeks.

I have some food related questions for recent Magic cruisers…

    1. Can I order 2 burgers at Guy’s burger?

    2. Does Blue Iguana Cantina offer bowl of chips/nachos? Like as a snack?

    3. Is Lobster night still a thing? If so, which night on 6 night cruise usually?

    4. I saw a news that late night snack will be back on Carnival ships.. does Magic offer it now?

    5. I have early time dining at 6pm… my friend booked this cruise very last minute he has “anytime dining”.  Is there ANYTHING we can do to have dinner together in main dining room?

    many thanks in advance!!!!

I'll answer the ones I know lol

3, you'll get an envelope with tickets and instructions on when/where to meet.

    5. When you check in to embark.

    6. Up to you, you can add a daily limit or fund it.

    7. Used to be able to do that online, been a while since I cruised with kids that young!

Regarding 6 Do I need to take any action? I do not want to add a daily limit.  Their cards are automatically linked to credit card I added, correct?

3: I assume we would receive an envelope the night before?

    thank you!!!!

  8. Hello fellow Carnival cruisers!!

I will be onboard Carnival Magic in 4 weeks and soooooo excited.

I did watch lots of youtube video and found many answers to my questions but need some more help from recent Magic cruisers!!

    any info would be appreciated.

    1. Do they allow crocs on Ropes course? Or Do I have to wear sneakers?

    2. I never used sports court on any ship but my kids are now grown and want to play some sports there.  How do they operate/manage sports court? Is there open gym/play time and you just show up? Any restrictions?

    3. For first time ever I purchased Carnival shore excursion- I always wander on my own lol - what is the process for ship sponsored excursion? Do we receive any wristbands? Where and what time do we meet? It’s Resort World Bimini beach pass.

    4. I purchased Premium Wifi package for 3 people. How do we connect to premium wifi onboard? Will I receive 3 different wifi passwords? Do I need to switch to airplane mode?

    5. How and where do I add my credit card for onboard spending?

    6. Can my minor kids use their room key card to purchase drink/mocktail/coffee/candy without any restrictions?

    7. Do I need to register my kids at Ocean camp and Circle C on day 1? any meet and greet time for 14 year olds?

Thank you so much in advance!!!

  9. Hello fellow cruisers!

I depart on 8/13 from Norfolk VA on Magic and super excited about it.

yesterday, my friend called me to inform that he and his two kids really really wants to tag along.

problem is this cruise is sold out - booking is not available on Carnival website.

What is the best way/strategy at this point to have a chance at booking this cruise?

I am sure there will be voluntary/involuntary cancellations up to cruise date but how do I find out??

anyone with experience booking this late?

any information or tips are appreciated.

    thank you!

  10. Hello!

I will be boarding on Magic in 4 month and cannot wait!!!

I used to cruise on RCI but wanted to visit Bimini and Norfolk is only 1 hour drive from my house!

I have booked pretty much everything but Cheers..

here is the dilemma- I drink a lot but my wife doesn’t. Not for medical nor religious reason.. she just doesn’t drink alcohol 😂 and not really drink coffee or mocktails either.

my understanding is both adults in same cabin must purchase Cheers package, right?  It would be waste of money for my wife.

Will Carnival allow just bottomless bubbles package for my wife?  Royal allows 2nd adult to purchase less expensive drink package but it looks like Carnival only has one Cheers package.

    thanks in advance!

Our first experience with Club Ocean was when our youngest was 2. They do divide by age group, but sometimes combine groups when there are low numbers. We have found supervision to be excellent. Our kids really liked the staff.

They have both open play and supervised activities, sometimes at the same time, and the kids can pick if they want to do the activity, or something else. Supervised activities are on a schedule you'll have, so that can help in figuring out when she might want to go to the club.

You can check in at any time.  Parents are not allowed in the play area, but you can peek in at any time to check on her.  We've done this, almost always without our son even knowing we came by.

Do you need to register your kid at the Camp Ocean as soon as onboard?

On embarkation day, you can avoid the chaos and crowds by going to Cucina Del Capitano for lunch (free -- lunch there is included with your cruise fare). The lido buffet was a madhouse, but we nearly had the Cucina to ourselves with plenty of room for our carry-on bags next to us at our table. It was a nice, relaxing way to start our trip while waiting for our stateroom to be available.

As others said, the spa facility on the Magic is excellent. If you're a spa person at all, consider getting the spa pass (or book a spa cabin which includes access).

How do you order food at Cucina on embarkation day? Is it made to order? Will there be waiters/servers walking around?

  13. Hello fellow cruisers!

Long story short- I have four $500 VISA gift card (debit card) totaling $2,000 in my bag lol

I guess this is two separate questions-

    1. Can I book Carnival cruise with generic VISA gift card?

    2. if it’s allowed, can I pay my balance with additional VISA gift card?

for example, total cruise fare I am looking at is $3,500

can I pay $2,000 with VISA gift card and remaining $1,500 with my credit card?

I really don’t want to spend these gift cards for random shopping spree.

    many thanks in advance!

  14. Hello cruisers!

for those of you who regularly sails out of NY can relate to this as I am somewhat frustrated by repetitive port of calls from NY.

    Arriving at Port Canaveral at…1PM????

    Coco Cay

    Nassau

while I love Oasis of the Seas this itinerary gets old pretty quickly.

I understand distance issue so not many options are available but I think Royal can do something about it. Please let me know if below are even possible?

    1. keep current schedule but arrive at Port Canaveral at 10AM or earlier so we can have FULL day.

    2. Miami, Coco Cay, Nassau

    3. Port Canaveral Full Day, Overnight stay at Bermuda

    4. Coco Cay overnight stay and Nassau.

what do you all think? Any other possible itinerary you want to see for Oasis of the Seas or Anthem?

  15. Quick review of Oasis of the Seas sailing to Coco Cay and Nassau!

Embarkation - We had early check in time at 10 AM. Drove from hotel nearby and got to the Cape Liberty around 9:30… and it was already quite busy with long line of cars trying to park. Waited about 20-25 minutes before unloading luggage. We were lucky they let us park in the parking garage next to the terminal. Rest of boarding process was smooth we were on the ship by 10:40ish

Ship - WOWSER! My last ship was Harmony of the Seas back in 2019 and Oasis felt just as newish and amazing.  Solarium is better with a pool and El Loco fresh is a home run! Much better than mini bites on Harmony. Spent a lot of time on pool deck and promenade of course. I did every activity available I think and escape room which was very fun and exciting! Well worth $20

food - tried all complimentary venue at least twice and I found food to be good to very good consistently. I never had “bad” or “tasteless” food. Lobster night was heavenly 🙂

Entertainment - Ice show was amazing magic show was entertaining and Aqua 80 might just be the beat aqua show in the fleet. It was that good.  Cats-  I fell asleep.

room - regular oceanview balcony which served its purpose. Clean and well maintained.

ports - Port Canaveral- stayed on ship

Coco Cay - we did a waterpark and had a blast!!!! Rode Daredevil Peak 6 times.  It goes down so fast my back hurts little bit. Checked out South Beach which was calm and beautiful.

weather - Literally perfect. I have not seen a single drop of a rain all week.

complaints - can they increase the speed and get to Port Canaveral around 9 or at least 10 am?? It is a complete waste of time - too short to go to Orlando and/or do KSC.

pool deck was crazy packed and busy but it was expected so.. not a real complaint.

leaving from NJ was so cool!! I would do this cruise again in a heartbeat.

  16. Hello all!

I will be on Oasis of the Seas on 8/14 with my 14 yo daughter and want her to enjoy some good time with kids her age.

We tried to bring her friend to cruise with us but that didn’t work out.

I know Oasis has dedicated teen area called Social298 which looks really nice for them to hang out.. but how does it work exactly?? Is there a meet and greet type of event on day 1 that allows kids to know each other?

my daughter is in full teenage mode she is reluctant to go a place where she doesn’t know anyone. 😂

Generally speaking, for a lack of better terms, what is the success rate of Social298 for a kid going there alone? lol

please share your/your kids experience I would greatly appreciate it

    thanks!

To log into the Wi-Fi, you just need to be able and willing to read your screen.

Turn on Wi-Fi, and connect to something like "Royal Guest" or similar name.

It will ask you if you want to connect to Voom or if you just want to use the app for free -- choose connect to Voom.

From then on, you just continue to read the screens and answer appropriately.  The first time you need to set up an account, and it will ask you your name, DOB, and room number.  Then it will recognize that you have a package purchased already, and it will ask you to set up a user name and a PIN code.  If you're sharing with others, I recommend using something that everyone can easily remember, as all three devices will need to use the same single user name and PIN that was set up for the account.

Any three devices will be allowed to be connected at one time, if you purchased a 3-device package.  If you want to add a fourth device, you will need to log out from one and then log in with the new device, or it will "bump off" one of the other devices when you log in a fourth device.

Basically, just READ YOUR SCREEN -- it will tell you what to do, if you just let it!

Also, some iPhones have a setting that needs to be turned off for Voom to function.  Something about "personal IP" or something like that -- I've had a few different friends that had that problem, but I'm an Android user, so I'm not positive what the exact setting is.  But Voom worked fine for them once they toggled that setting off.

    Really appreciate your explanation

Do we need to switch to Airplane mode BEFORE do any of these? Meaning like as soon as we set foot on ship.
