There are several reasons rooms can appear at the last minute. None of it for evil reasons.

These are rooms that were held by a travel agency being returned, nothing nefarious or unique.

Someone said released 180-120 days prior to cruise, so which is correct ?  These became available 26 days from sailing. These room availabilities did not exist yesterday.

  2. Glad I booked my refreshment package last night as it appears to be higher this morning.

I was assigned my interior GTY already last week,32 days ahead of cruising. I was looking around today and a bunch of rooms in all categories suddenly became available (talking blocks of 5 in areas of ocean views and balconies) and prices increased, even though it's still the 30% of discounts they continously extend.

Is this something RCL does? Make rooms unavailable to be purchased and then make available when they increase their prices? Are they holding out for Royal up bids to make more money out of the people who bought at the lower price?

It just seems sketchy to me.

Curious to hear about early cabin assignments with gty balconies! Just booked symphony for January 2024 balcony gty for 4. There are only 2 Central Park, and 9 boardwalk cabins showing as available right now, but a ton of ocean view cabins.

I’ve seen some stories about early cabin assignment, is that really a thing? This is my first time booking gty, but was worth it to save well over $1200!

Mine was scheduled 32 days before sail date. 2 days after I booked!

We dont even know what ship you are on. Lol it's a cabin, not a room.

Deck 3 isnt horrible, might be a longer walk. If there are cabins open the exact same category, you can usually get moved to another, like 4v to 4v... on another deck. If that's what you prefer.

Sorry, I thought I added that. Its Freedom of the Seas. I've only traveled on Mariner and Navigator my past 4 cruises.  Freedom is new to me

  5. I'm sorry for posting here. I tried looking at cabin info page, but all it returned was for multiple cruise ships and decks(and yes, I clicked on RC forum). Can anyone post a link for the cabin info? I had interior guarantee and just found out I was put on deck 3. Horrible? Or do I need to put up high bid on royal up? I bid other interiors, obviously denied, but saw a bunch of open balcony rooms. I think bids started at $100p/p for those.

  6. Hi everyone,

I am flying into FLL the day before for our cruise out of Miami next month.

Is it better to stay overnight in Miami, or FFL area? Any suggestions for a hotel in the FFL that I can get a shuttle to the port

Also, I was considering getting a rental car in Miami port since our flight out of FFL isn't until 5pm, and dont want to spend all day in airport. Obviously the car return would be at FLL. Is this possible? Or any suggestions?

    Thsnks!

Classic mixed drinks such as Pina Coladas or Daquiris will be more like $14.

They will add 18% mandatory gratuity to every individual drink purchase.

They will add 18% to the package too, making it even more expensive than it appears at first glance.

Likely more.  We have two cruises on the books for fall, and the package is $63 on one, $83 on the other.  The lower price is on a smaller, older ship, and it's been up and down, while the $83 for a larger ship has held steady.

Yes, my quote on Freedom of the Seas is for $83/day now ☹️
