Using a porter will make everything easy. He will take your luggage through inspection
and to check in line. If you have any mobility problems, you can ask for a wheelchair
to take you through security. It speeds up the whole process. I have done it.

Turn left on Ashford. In the next block, you will find Eros market. They have a supply of
liquor and wine, water, snacks and fruit.
-
Condado area is a short bus or taxi ride from OSJ. Holiday decorations are beautiful. The
Marriott, La Concha and Conrad will have amazing displays in their lobbies. The Ashford
House will be decked out (or usually is!)and there will be lots of other street decorations.

Request a room for mobility challenged. They have walk-in shower, plus tub.

Cafe Puerto Rico. Great place, 1 block from waterfront. We got caught there in a rainstorm, manager called a taxi friend to get us back to Condado!
-
there are some private shuttle companies. GO Puerto Rico is one. Google Schuttle Service
in PR and find some names. Might be just as cheap to use two taxi vans.
-
Walgreens is across the street. Next block, toward Raddison, Eros market for most
anything you need.

There must be an organization of scammers! In Memphis, an older woman with grand-son
in tow, asked for food money, then headed for liquor store! Kroger parking lot in
Cincinnati, man asked me for $20 for gas, wife & new baby need ride home, mother-in-law has broken leg, his car out of gas. Told him someone in Kroger would call agency to
help him. Became angry, walked away and went to another person.

To see location of hotels, go to Tripadvisor, click on Map of Hotels, and you can see
where most between airport & OSJ are located.

This happened to me in a NY hotel Well-dressed older woman gave similar sob-story
about losing her money. Referred her to hotel security for help.

Check with the Marriott in Condado. Ask for their Ocean Club. They may do massage on
a deck, over looking the pool.

Another brain cell clicked in and I remembered Piu Bello!

Hello Mim, My DH and I also loved the diners in NY. The Bombonera is indeed
a special place and I hope you have time to enjoy it. However, your hotel is
in Condado area and the diner/convenience store we liked there is long gone.
There is a cafe on Ashford across from the Marriott that serves breakfast. I
can't think of the name but they have tables on the raised sidewalk as well
as inside seating. That would be about three blocks to walk. Enjoy San Juan!

There is a truly beautiful performing arts center on Ponce De Leon in the
Santurce area. They have many kinds of music and plays during the year.
Some hotels have copies of their brochures available. I don't believe they
have a website, but some other San Juan sites have information. The name
is Centro de Bellas Artes and phone is 787 724 4747. Loved Owensboro
BBQue!!

For information about music, contact the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico
at 787 751 0160. If you need English, just ask and someone will help you.
There is a website in Spanish which lists programs and activities for each
month. They have a variety of programs by students and visitors from
other universities, both in US and other countries. Someone there might help you with shopping information. When I am in San Juan I often attend concerts
there and have heard some great musicians. My husband{now deceased] and I used to party in Owensboro on the riverboat and at hotels with his business friends. It was a great party town!! If I can answer any other questions for you, let me know. :

My husband {now deceased} our daughter and son-in-law did a three night
cruise from NY to Bermuda on the Brittanis in 1983. It was much better
than we expected and so much fun. The guys enjoyed the food.
