Great news. I have also been blessed. I'm sailing next Friday on Euribia. I booked an interior for myself and toddler and we've been assigned a deluxe balcony on deck 11.

Just curious. Did you book Interior Bella or Fantastica? And if Fantastica did you have to pick a cabin upon booking. Just trying to understand my chances of getting a complementary upgrade. Leaving next Wednesday on Euribia with an assigned Fantastica Interior.

  2. I know that all adults in the cabin have to book the same (alcohol) drink package. I'm not able to drink alcohol because of my medication.

Just curious if someone was successful in booking a non-alcohol package while their cabin mate booked an alcohol package?

I know it's possible with some cruise lines, but can't find any information on MSC.

  3. I've read somewhere that you pay about €5 when ordering a second entrée (main) in the MDR and that this doesn't apply to starters and desserts. Is this true on the Euribia? Who experienced this and/or saw it on the menu?

See original post. The poster booked Fantasia. Obviously made a good offer on the upgrade and got rewarded. Well done MSC. We think even more highly of them since we have had great upgrades too.

I should clarify. I meant complementary upgrades when booked Fantastica. Just wondering if they are hesitant to move/upgrade passengers from the cabin they choose upon booking 🤔

    That's brilliant news.

I had a touch, I booked an interior cabin and received an email saying we'd been upgraded (for free) to a balcony. Very excited 🙂

Did you book a guarantee (Bella) or did you already pick a cabin when you booked(Fantastica)? Looks like the upgrade fairy 🧚‍♀️ is more likely to visit people who booked Bella or am I wrong?

  6. This is my first cruise with MSC. I know some people get complimentary upgrades when booking a guarantee. Could this happen when you can't book a guarantee and are given a cabin# by reservation? Or will the upgrade fairy 🧚‍♀️ only visit guests who have booked a guarantee?

  7. We're boarding the Rotterdam in 14 days. I completed check in for myself and my niece of 16 yo who is staying in my cabin. Her boarding pass shows up in the app, mine doesn't. Family members on other reservations and in other cabins all got theirs as well. I deleted the app and reinstalled it already. Still nothing. Trying to avoid calling customer service... what else could I try? Somebody with similar experience?

  8. It's some passengers who bring and hide them, not the cruise line or ship. You can take them home or hide them again for another passenger to find. On Facebook you can find different groups "cruise ducks". Good luck hunting!

Are guests isolated in their original cabin or in a different cabin?  I've read both that there's an isolation "wing" on the ships but also that some guests have been isolated in their original cabin.

In October I was isolated in my original inside cabin. Being a solo traveller that was really tough, no daylight and fresh air for 8 days! The only conversations were ordering roomservice.

We are waiting, too.  I thought it would take a month, but now it’s almost 6 weeks. The letter we got said it would be automatic, and our PCC said to be patient….

I was hoping to get it a little bit sooner. But there's nothing else we can do than to wait. Thanks for the information.

Are these monies for the prorated days while on the ship or for quarantining at a hotel?   As you can tell by my questions this is not a simple question.  I wish I could provide you with links to the HAL pages but my iPad and the HAL website are not getting along well today.

I know that the FCC will be put in my account. I got that information from HAL. I'm only interested in knowing how long it will take. HAL doesn't provide that info. So looking to find out from guests in the same situation.

Did you test positive while on the cruise or before the cruise?  There is a claim process , it is not automatic.  When it happens, before or during, determines the process

While on the cruise. I've been told no claim process, it would be automatically put into my account.

  13. Unfortunately I tested positive on my latest cruise and had to isolate for 6 days. I'm looking to book a new cruise, but the FCC I'm supposed to get doesn't show in my account. Anybody with experience on this matter? How long before it will appear? I know I can make a phonecall, but figured asking here is so much faster 😉

  14. I've read somewhere that people get offered discounts on internet packages while cruising. Is this a common thing and what could I expect? Especially interested what to expect on a 13n on the Rotterdam. Still trying to figure out if and when I should buy.

  15. Does the Verifly app produce a barcode or QR-code after completing? Or is the green ️ "ready to sail" all you have to show upon embarkation?

With passport and credit card in hand and boarding pass in the Navigator app are those the four things I need? Or do they want additional paperwork? Specifically interested in embarkation procedure in Rotterdam.

So let me see if I understand the Enhanced Protocols.  If I board the ship as part of a Collectors Voyage, I need to get tested.  However, the next guy in line boards the same ship for only the first leg doesn't need to get tested.   I guess I just don't undertsand.😏

If it eases your mind 😉 I'm on the first leg of a Collectors Voyage. And as of the on Sept 1st published Enhanced Protocol I DO need to get tested. Bad news for me, but it kinda makes sense.

If you need the Premium Internet package for the entire cruise, it is less expensive to pre-book it. The Surf and Social packages cannot be pre-booked. If booked onboard, you may purchase any package for just the number of days needed.

Here is the most recent price list:

Thank you very much. This information helps a lot!!

  18. I'm trying to figure out if I should buy the internet package pre-cruise or on board. Is there a price difference? I have some OBC. I understand I can use this buying internet, but only while purchasing on board. Any advice is appreciated 😊
