Thank you. I did ask for a supervisor and NCL would not let me talk to one because I used a TA. My TA basically said we got perks from them so I should be happy and they will not do anything. I am going to try and call NCL again. Since we paid The $5600 for our cruise which was about the NCL price we should get the shareholder credit. I would like NCL to explain it to me at the least.

After dealing with the TA this afternoon and NCL refusing to talk to me...Ruined my day being angry. I need a better TA or book direct so NCL will talk to me. Lesson learned.I am going to try and move on and have a good trip. Thanks!

Ken, maybe there is one I don't know about. I am hoping my travel agent can get this sorted...But it is helpful knowing other have used travel agents, so that should not be the problem..I appreciate the
replies from everyone.

Here is the wording. I tried NCL and they won't discuss it with me since I booked through a travel agent.
We paid $5600 for the cruise which at the time was the amount on the NCL site. I have reached out to our TA again. This morning she said she couldn't help, I had to call NCL. Hopefully she will try and help.
Thank you for contacting Norwegian Cruise Line. We have reviewed your request and unfortunately, the shareholder benefit excludes Reduced Rate programs (e.g. employee rates, interline, flexnet, friends /family rates, vendor rates, cruises taken via cruise credit certificate, or free cruises earned through Oceania Cruises loyalty benefits). Therefore, we are unable to apply the onboard credit to this reservation. You can review the terms & conditions at the bottom of the following page:

I called NCL, they said shareholders OBC is capacity controlled ?? And they don't have to give it to us.
That's the second reason for declining it. This is really not right.

We submitted it ourselves. Our travel agent has been no help so far. Yes that is the link we used.

We applied for our OBC for our upcoming 21 day cruise. We were just declined because we used a travel agent. Just heads up to everyone…no sense in owning the stock if you use a TA!

We are booked on the Encore next October 29th for the Panama Canal Repositioning cruise. Has anyone has experience
with the excursions at the Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala port? We were considering the Colonial Antiqua or the Casa Santo Domingo tour
through NCL. We would really appreciate it if you could share you thoughts on these or any other ports. We have only been on one cruise so
we are kind of newbies. Thank you!!

We want to book viva for may 2024 but I am kinda nervous about the sailing delay. Is that silly to worry it will be delayed that long?

That is a lot of good information. Thank you so much!!

I have seen tour prices go up or the tour fill up as the cruise got closer. With tours booked through the ship you can always cancel them, sometimes one day before.
I wish they were posted so we could book them now...

Yes it is a credit only for excursions booked through the ship. Maybe they will post more later but only two excursions in one port show up right now. So there is no way to book as far as I see until they post. Thanks !

We just booked our first cruise, so we are totally newbies. It is on Norwegian next January. Only two excursions are available for the ten day cruise. Does anyone know how far ahead they post them? We have an excursion credit of $100 a day so I want to look at them before I book any. Thanks!
Shareholders OBC is rejected if you use a travel agent

BirdTravels- You seem to be coming from a TA viewpoint, I am not attacking my TA, just repeating what they told me. I do not have irate unprofessional conversation, not my personality. I do however like to be
treated with respect and have things explained to me. At no time did the TA say it was a choice between their price and my benefit. I did receive a $100 OBC, a one time $50 excursion, a one way transport from the airport from them. My shareholder credit is $250. My point was why does that cause my shareholder benefit to be rejected.
It's not an unreasonable question. I paid $5600 for the balcony, not a travel agent price.
When I called NCL the agent put me on hold and came back with a reason of "capacity controlled offer".
That wasn't because I was irate, it was the answer they gave me and they would not let me talk to a supervisor because I used a TA.
After submitting it to NCL again third time with a request for them to take another look and explanation they emailed me this morning and my Shareholder benefit was granted. So thanks to everyone who was supportive. My intention of posting was to see if anyone else had this experience and what to do about it. In the end NCL came through and this board was helpful. Thanks.
