Do we need our Hawiian shirts for one night at dinner?
We're going on the Liberty.
We wore ours on the first day. We got so many compliments and set the tone for our cruise. My hubby ordered me one and I bought him one- we didn’t show each other until the first day it was so much fun!

I know some ships have the free app that allows messaging other passengers. Does anyone know if Odyssey will have it? Trying to keep in touch with my 17yo on the ship. If not I will get Voom and drink package.

Is it sad that I am hoping to see him? 😂 He’s a little C.C. Famous at the point.

AlohaLivin I would love your tour also. I wonder if you knew what you were getting into when you offered to send this☺️ Thank you!

I think there are at least 3 bars (and they would have soda), including the swim up bar.
Which beach is the float up bar on? Does anyone know if snorkeling is interesting at any of the beaches?

Can you send the Happy Birthday package to another room? Has anyone ordered this package and thought it was worth buying?

Would lean more towards the price going up. It is a coin toss.
Yep you were right. It went up to $500.

Ok thanks for the thoughts. We have another option to stay at the beach that would be in our budget that we will probably just stick with. Just thought a cruise sounded like more fun!!

We are looking at a specific cruise the first week of October from Mobile as a spontaneous getaway but we were hoping the price would go down some the closer we get to departure to stay in budget. Any chance it might go cheaper or being this close to departure will the price will stay the same?

We prefer Labadee. I really do not appreciate the inflated prices at cococay. We typically took a cabana- and the prices at cococay are about $1000!!! They seem to charge additional for everything-
Good that they are adding a pier- but we are all paying for the upgrades.
I was trying to get a cabana at Labadee for next April but they have been full since we booked or cruise ☹️ Hopeful I can find some shade somewhere and just relax for the day.

I like the scenery at Labadee being more tropical and relaxing than Coco Cay. I saw more fish and rays and turtles and a large ray while snorkeling at Coco Cay. Toss up.
They both have a unique and pleasant vibe.
Where did you snorkel? Did you do an excursion or from a beach?

Looks like my big sale is $57 which is the original price it was when we booked before it went up. I was hoping for $47. That is what I feel would be a money saver for me.

I wondered if they would be stuffy. Is Columbus Cove a good area for swimming?
-
We wanted to get a cabana but they have been sold out since we booked. Is it worth getting a beach lounger for 2 at $50? For shade, place to put your stuff?

The sale window always maxes out at around 7 months, except for the truly special sales like Black Friday or the $18 drink package mistake.
What does the Black Friday sale typically look like? Is it usually an actual deal?

I live in San Francisco, so I try to give stuff from where I live. We've got two local chocolate companies: Ghirardelli and See's Candies. I'll put together little gift bags with a box of SF chocolates, a card I'll address by name, and a cash tip with the card. Once I know my room attendants' names, I'll address the cards and leave them out where they have to stumble across it (usually on the floor just inside of the cabin door). I've added other stuff, like golden gate bridge magnets or something else funky or fun I've found.
I love this! I will be looking for things to give on my next cruise!! Thanks for sharing.

1. Straight to the Suite Lounge for a cocktail and bartender chit-chat. Tip well.
2. Get to know the SL concierges & book CK for dinner all week. Will cancel if I decide to dine elsewhere.
3. Go to Park Cafe for a kummelweck sandwich (repeat daily).
4. Off to pool deck. Get to know bartenders at my go-to pool bar. Tip well.
5. Take my drink topside for sail-away.
6. Off to cabin to unpack / get to know stateroom attendants. Leave surprise gifts / tips out for when they come back for turn-down.
7. Casino to get to know dealers and host(s).
Surprise gifts? What kind of gifts do you leave? I like getting people gifts!

My problem with buying it is I only have a few drinks and might not get my moneys worth. My husband however would make up for that. He can put some beer away. Wish I could get it for him only.

Maybe that's why they jacked up the prices....so on Labor Day, they offer the "previous" going rate.
I bet that is what they are doing. Feel like you are getting a good deal. My Oasis in March has gone up to $65. I was hesitant at $55! Hopefully I can catch a big sale. Otherwise I guess I will just have to watch my budget on the boat☹️

Everyone is mentioning checking their dining table. Is this something I should be doing? What are you looking for?
-
This is my 3rd cruise and first on Oasis so I imagine it will be a lot of wondering around with a drink in my hand wondering what I should be doing😊
