  1. We are on a 12 night Panama Canal cruise in March, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out today that Club Orange was still available for our sailing. I'm very excited to try it, I like the idea of the dedicated, smaller restaurant and lounge, but the best part was the verandah upgrade, because we were able to switch from a regular verandah, to an aft facing balcony!  Looking forward to seeing a sunset from time to time or just watching the wake in the moonlight.  Does anyone know if they still have the complimentary mimosas at breakfast?

  2. Thank you for your perspective re Shinjuku.  I've read that everyone seems to want to stay there, but I'm leaning toward the Tokyo Station hotel just for the reasons you mentioned.  Close proximity to Ginza, the trains, and the historic atmosphere of the hotel were factors in my decision.  I would like an evening in Shinjuku, but I think that would be enough.  I'm also 65, so the bar scene is not a big thing for me, I could see that others would love the excitement.

  3. I was able to start making dining reservations today for my cruise in March.  I was really looking forward to the pop-up Morimoto at Sea, but it's not showing.  I understand that this is usually available one night in the Tamarind restaurant, but currently Tamarind is able to be reserved every night of the cruise.  Will it show up later, or has Rotterdam ended this experience?

  4. We have an overnight stay in Osaka, but when looking to see where Millenium docks, Cruisemappers shows we will be at Port Kobe.  I had previously asked how to get to Nara from Osaka, so now looking for advice how to get there from this port.  Also, we planned on going to Dotonbori in the evening, will this be more difficult from this location?

  5. Thinking of DIY Nara and Kyoto, just wondering how much it would be to just take a taxi to Nara?  I'd like to spend part of the day in Nara, then a couple of places in Kyoto before heading back to the ship late in the evening.

  6. Just read all 8 pages of your trip report, so informative and entertaining!  Love the humor.  We are going in April 2026, so hopefully no sweltering temperatures for us.  We actually have an overnight in Osaka, so our first day I plan on going to Nara Park, back to Kyoto in the afternoon and evening,  I've been reading a lot about the transportation and watching You tube vlogs, but I think taxis will definitely be utilized!
