  1. Just off Equinox 5/29.  Enjoyed many a bourbon and cigars at the Sunset bar in the evening.  In fact they sold cigars at the bar (Gurkha).  Of course bring your own cutter and torch as they don’t have much in that regard.  The Ship liquor store also had cigars for sale - mostly Arturo Fuente.

Talked with my husband tonight, Cas Abou would be about 15 minutes further. One question; How do you return the car?

    Thanks Jerry!

We were met across the street from the gate by a representative.  The same place as we picked up the car.  We were back on the ship in approximately 15 minutes afterwards.

  3. I think our ship was cleared to debark around 8am.  Including the time to exit the ship, the walk from the farther pier, finding Celestino outside the gate, checking out the car and then finally driving to Cas Abou…. We were there before 9am.  I think the drive to Cas Abou was around 30 minutes and was easy.  It was the best car rental experience ever.  And , we just returned it right where we picked it up from.  Could not have been easier.  Convenient gas station on the way back too.

Also, we really like BDiving, the on-site scuba/watersports shop at Cas Abou.

  4. I don’t know about those beaches but I have used Advanvce car rental and had a great experience.  Celestino met us just outside the gate and had the car ready.  https://www.advancecarrentalcuracao.com/

    We enjoyed Cas Abou.

  5. We did exactly what you are considering just last month.  We rented a car and drove to Cas Abao.  It was less expensive than using a taxi and the roads were easy to drive.  Also, the freedom and flexibility of having the car was great.

Cas Abao is beautiful.  Entrance fee was $6-7 per car and chairs were $3 each I think.  Chair fee includes a token for the rinse-off shower (take ticket to the snack bar).  The restaurant is more of a snack bar but it was decent.  A menu can be found in the photos on trip advisor.

I feel like a commercial for Cas Abao as both my posts have been about Cas Abao ( longtime lurker), but we had a great time.

  6. My wife and I rented a car from Advance Car rental on our recent stop in Curaçao.  In fact we went to Cas Abao beach and had a great time.  Celestino (owner) met us at the pier with the car and we returned it later that day at the pier.  A gps unit was even provided.  The car rental was ridiculously easy.  If you like Scuba diving, B Diving at Cas Abao is awesome!
