I have read all the posts in this thread and I can't thank you all enough for helping me be comfortable with my decision to have a burial at sea. My husband and I loved cruising and his retirement job was working on ships where he sailed to many parts of the world. We already had a cruise booked in October when he passed away in July. I was going to cancel the cruise but after much thought have decided to go on our last cruise together and release his ashes in the ocean where he loved to be. My big decision now is how to do this. I have been looking for an urn that we can use to scatter and also drop in the ocean. His sister and her husband are travelling with me. Nwcruiselover mentioned that they had a biodegradable one. Where would I find that?

It is a beautiful ship. We were on it last year, It is nice that we could drive instead of fly to get there. .Have you been on it before?

My first Carnival cruise was on the Tropicale in February 1996 when it ran up on a sand bar in Tampa Bay and had to be towed off,

I am on this cruise with my sister-in-law and brother-in law. It is bittersweet because my husband and I were booked on this cruise but he passed away in July. We both loved cruising so I am still going. even though I am nervous about it.

Thank you Sailor75. I looked up both of those threads and it helped me a lot. My husband passed away last month and we have a cruise booked on the Venezia in October so I am trying to find out whatever I can. We both loved cruising and anything to do with the ocean.

Does anyone have any experience with a burial at sea on Carnival?.

Thanks for the reply..My husband picked up international calling on his phone as a backup if I can't find a better number. Off to the airport!

I couldn't find Seascape on the list.

I leave Saturday on the Seascape and I have been looking for emergency contact information to leave with my family. I would appreciate any input as this is my first MSC cruise and so far I have had a lot of difficulty obtaining information from them.

I just did the status match to see where I would land on MSC. Diamond on CCL, but they matched me to Gold on MSC. Interesting.
Same here. I wonder if they only match if you have been diamond on Carnival a long time or for many cruises. For me it was only 5 years and 4 cruises and I got MSC gold not diamond.

My Navigator says there is a problem connecting to the network. Try again later. Well I did and later didn't work either, I will be on the Zaandam on 5/6, Wonder if that matters.

I am also on that cruise and do not have any excursions listed for Miami either.

We wanted to order it on the 4/17 Pride cruise but the waitress told us we couldn't because we were usint the Steakhouse dinner you get when you become Diamond. I was disappointed.

Thanks negn. That's good to know and relieves some anxiety.

I guess I had better clarify my previous comment. This is the first Princess casino offer I have taken advantage of. The other interior offers were from Carnival.
-
I never had this issue before but maybe that was because I had a free interior room and always paid to upgrade to a balcony.
-
I am concerned about this same issue. The first time I booked my August free casino cruise the TA said that the invoice showed $$$$ due in 3 days. I paid everything I needed to and assumed it was casino payment. Three days later, I looked on my Princess and found cruise canceled. TA called and was told it should not have been and was indeed the casino payment so rebooked. New booking shows the same thing but money not due until 3 month prior. I am not sure if my cruise is paid or not.

I’m curious about this, too. Sailing Encore Jan, 16th.
I am on the 1/16 cruise also. It has been a while since I cruised Norwegian and when I did the entertainment was great. Hoping that is still the case.

No Elite offer for me. I only get Premier offers and sometimes an Ultra. I have been on the Premier cruises but my first Ultra was cancelled during coved and could not find one to rebook.

It was really easy to find what you wanted quickly. It has been gone for a while.

Thank you. Bob loved the ocean. Sailing and fishing were his passions.
