When we say 22 drinks, are we just talking alcohol drinks or does 22 drinks include non alcohol drinks?

Description says specifically 22 alcoholic drinks in my msc app

  2. I went into my account and since I purchased easy over phone it shows up in what's included.  My son's minor package and 2-device say booked but not in what's included.

My drink package says thirsty but nothing about 22 limit. Weirdly I rarely drink alcohol but like I said for three bucks per day I didn't care because it seems, other than ice cream, everything in non alcoholic is in thirsty. So even if there is a 22 limit it has no effect for me

From your other thread you are going on a South Africa cruise, which as per CruisingFox27 has the "thirsty" drink packages new for this season.

There is a different pricing structure for South Africa, e.g. below is the current bar prices for the equivalent of the easy package.

I've been thinking about a South Africa cruise this year - would be interested to hear your feedback when you return.

Yes south Africa.  I'll give feedback. New thirst package just replaced easy   I don't check often so I have no idea when replaced. I know they can't change price, maybe rules.

Nothing has changed for me.  Can you share a screenshot or link?

$176 for the easy/thirsty package sounds like the same price for a 4 day cruise, when the drinks package is not included in the cruise.

I only paid 112 for easy. I only did it because I bought non alcoholic for 100 and I figured for three bucks a day why not

  5. Msc was down today.  Just logged in and easy and easy plus now says thirsty and thirsty plus.  I have easy for 112 and unlimited drinks now thirsty is 176 and limit 22/day.  This is for 4 day cruise.

Minor for 40 and adult non alcoholic still there she 100 no limit.

There is also a soda and ice cream with limit of ten for twenty bucks.

There is also an msc drink package for 68 and you get 18 up to five dollar drinks.

Glad I have easy booked which at time I thought was great for 112 when adult non alcoholic was 100.

    It is frozen.

Maybe someone can help because MSC site is not helpful.

    Does Easy Package have frozen?

Does Alcohol-Free and Minors Package have frozen non alcohol versions?

I am asking because my cruise is only three dollars more from Alcohol Free and Easy packages. Even though I do not drink any traditional alcohol drinks but a Frozen drink with alcohol once in a while is worth $3 per day.

  7. Mine is weird.   Book chops lunch and shows booked in calendar, royal has two entries one a charge and one a credit, both pending . Btw it's at 16.99.

I go to calendar and go to change day and says oops when I hit manage reservation.

One other question, if boarding is 12:30 is it safe to book 1:30 same day as boarding.m?

  8. A tad off topic but very similar.

We have an upcoming trip to South Africa.

Cost from Non Alcoholic to Easy is only $3 per day. My son has minor package.

I don't drink alcohol except would like a "real"' mocktail, like regular Pina Colota. I can't figure out from their verbiage what I get extra and what I am missing.

Obviousy soft serve Ice cream no.

What are fresh fruit cocktails and are they in both?

    Any insight would be great.

  9. Weird cruise pricing here.  Went to change back to deck 8 and next category was ten bucks before five and five and had aft balcony available.

    To me no brainer.

Thanks for help. My good cruise critic buddy suggested to avoid top deck under buffet etc due to lots of noice.

  10. I have Fantastica booked, I did do an obstructed view because it seems in this case not a risk of something actually in view to obstruct.

Deck 8 seems to have lifeboat directly underneath on deck 7 but no real obstruction except down.

Deck 13 seems to have this large overhang and potential noise from deck 14 above. It's difficult to determine if looking toward front or back of ship will be difficult with over hang and cabin that are further out from ship.

Does anyone have experience with these two types and is obstruction really a major factor?

    Thanks

I had no problem removing the wifi for one device i had ordered online.   I just called MSC and had the rep remove it. The rep said it would  be refunded on my credit card in a couple days. But is still shows as an overpayment on my paid cruise. But I’m going to add back if I don’t get my yacht club bid.  I must say it did take a while for the rep to do that though. Put me on hold a couple times.

I think it depends on who takes call.  Today I asked for web support and he did in one minte and I added Easy while on phone.

    Thanks everyone...

    • Thanks 1
  12. I called customer service. They confirmed Childs and adult non alcoholic do have ice cream and Easy does not have ice cream.

Alcoholic "Mock-Tails" (How's that for a play on words) are included in easy.

I wanted agent to remove non alcoholic and she could not and said I had to do it on web. I do not see how to remove a purchased item on web. Is there a way to remove a purchased item?

  13. Hi I am bumping my own thread.

What I was asking is if I do easy  vs adult non alcoholic am I losing anything? To me 12 total for four days is unreal tp do Easy vs adult non alcoholic

It seems the mocktails, soda, sparkling / mineral and fruit juices are in both (that's actually what I do not want to lose). I might lose soft serve ice cream but I do no see anything else going away. The thing I might do a couple of times would be a regular Pina Colada vs a virgin one. I do not remember if MSC has milkshakes or smoothies on board.

I do not see myself doing wine, beer or liquor unless they have something very sweet like Mogen David:)

    Thanks

  14. Hi I've seen so many comparisons but I think I can get a real answer here.

    My son (15yo)  and I book a 5 day 4 night cruise.

    Child non alcoholic is $40 (10 /day)

Adult non alcoholic is $100 (25/day)

    Easy is $112 (28/day).

My son seems great considering our Royal coming up would be $9/day just for Sodas, free with Amex...

What I can't figure out what's missing in Easy vs Adult Non Alcoholic.

I don't drink liquor but I'd maybe have a regular Pina Collate once in awhile, for example. For $3 / day if everything else is same it seems like a no brainer. Both of our favorite part is sparkling water for room and mocktails.

It does seem only thing I did not notice was soft serve ice cream, which is no real loss.

You can definitely use the two-device package and have your son use one device. The person whose name the package is associated with will just have to do the initial login on the second device. I had a two-device package on a previous sailing with my husband (for some reason when we booked the drinks and wifi they gave me two devices and him none?). It was no big deal. I just logged in once on his phone and he was able to use his phone for the rest of the cruise. You definitely will not be able to switch between devices if only have the one-device plan.

Thanks, I think 51 bucks for two people on a four night cruise is a good value.

  16. My cruise shows on device unlimited for $31.96 and two devices for $51.12.

I've read I can't just get one and let my son use and exit and go to my phone to check emails, etc. Maybe wi-fi calling.

Assuming he can't just log out and I log in why wouldn't I just buy $51.12 package vs two $ $31.96. We don't need streaming, unless required for wi-fi calling.
