If you have traditional dining, but miss it, can you arrive at the MTD location and be seated?
-
Has anyone asked a bartender early if the 10 drink card is available, like day 1,2 or 3?
I’m not a big drinker, maybe 1 or 2 a day.. this would be perfect. However, buying it on day 5, I would feel compelled to slam more than 1 or 2 drinks to finish the card.

We went 4 years ago, the price was $5/pp. It was $20 for the 4 of us to go and that was worth it.
We are sailing again on the Allure, and unless there is a freebie in our suite, we will NOT be paying $60 to have greasy burgers and cheese fries.
The price keeps going up because people pay it. When that stops or the complaints become excessive, that will change.

That sounds wonderful...I love lobster!

I have seen recent the Western cruise compass and I didn’t see that listed as an activity.

Is it 2 bottles per cabin or person?

Thanks! This looks like a perfect option for our family.
Now I just need to get this for our other ports.
* Cozumel
* Roatan
* Costa Maya

Thanks..was just wondering how that worked. I love the idea of a private place to dine, however, we have teens who like more of a variety like the MDR.
Will have to see how to work this.

I spoke with a concierge a few weeks ago while sailing Liberty OTS. He told me that RCL is shifting all concierge lounges to suite lounges as the ships dry dock. Liberty just dry docked in February and they now have a suite lounge. Basically this will only change one thing. D+ will not be able to enjoy this lounge. Only grand suite and above + pinnacle. However, since the diamond lounge offers identical services it is not a big loss. The only thing I know of to be different is that the suite lounges are much larger than the diamond lounges. The real bennies of the suite lounge concept come into play on the Oasis and Quantum class ships. The Coastal Kitchen is only available on these ships. My DW and I were able to enjoy this venue on Oasis the first cruise that it was open after it was installed. It was incredible. Knocked the socks off of every pay venue on the boat. We ate at Chops and Giovanni's on that cruise and we opted to cancel reservations in the pay restraunts after comparing to Coastal Kitchen. The food and service is second to none. If you have access, I highly recommend eating there for formal night. They grill your lobster tails instead of broiling like the MDR. Makes all the difference in the world. Also, if you like surf and turf pair it with the filet that is on the Coastal Kitchen menu. I promise you will not regret it. Best of all, it is included at no additional charge!
The menu is coastal kitchen is a bit limited, there are offering in the MDR that are also appealing....is it possible to get any of those in the CK?

We are not booking any tours and looking for restaurant suggestions to walk to and place to explore on our own near the port. We just want to sample some food and get off the ship for a bit maybe get a few souvenirs. Not sure if the beaches are nice here or if there is a reasonable pool to hang at. We don’t want to spend $200+ for a couple hours....we won’t be hanging out more than 2 hours.
What food items are a must to try? Any other food items not to miss while we are here?
Not looking for a chain or touristy place, want to stay with a local.
Any recommendations?

What food items are a must to try? I think lobster might be a great price here, can anyone confirm? Any other items not to miss while we are here?

Surf & Turf - Main lobster tail, roasted fillet mignon with selection of sauce $34.95
-
When it nears 90 days prior (final payment) some cabins are released.
-
Under 12 is $10.

Wonderful! Thank you so much! I can passs the info along.

I was looking at the CC’s for this week and I don’t see that listed in the activities on sea days.
Is this still offered?
Can someone be contacted to add this to the activities listing??

Our last cruise we bought a case of water, slapped a luggage tag on it and it arrived to our suite. No problem.
I think we spent $7.00 from Walgreens vs. $80 for a case on the ship.

Someone is posting live from the Allure this week and they docked in Roatan.
-
I know...I went up for Lobster and it was crab crusted flounder night. lol! (I didn't care to much, I don't eat fish. ha!
This is wonderful!
It looks to be much of what is on the MDR menu .. and we don't have to go to the MDR or stay in our suite to enjoy.
Do we have to dress formal for the CK? We dress for dinner, but have been on enough cruises and bringing all a gown and tux for formal isn't fun anymore.
-
That was done for us also, but they told us it's because formal nights are different nights based on Eastern or Western itinerary.
Thanks!

Does anyone have current dinner menus for the Coastal Kitchen on Allure?
