  1. This is fantastic news that P&O/Cunard have seen sense at last - or at least partial sense. If it is any help DH loves his Luggie, it has been on many cruises and we never had any trouble with it in any cabin, either folding it up to store (under the bed is usually better than in the closet) or in fact just leave it made up and ask the steward to take out the coffee table. If you buy one and need to fly then I recommend NOT folding the base part, as that leaves the tiller vulnerable to breakage (happen to us 3 times in 5 flights), just fold the tiller down then the seat and the seat covers and protects it, just hand it in like that and the baggage handlers can pull it along by the small wheels, it's not been broken again since we started doing that.

  2. It's not too far from the station to the beginning of Giardini Naxos beach, we were there a couple of years ago and it was lovely but about a month ago the sea was full of rubbish - plastic bags, bottles, rope, just about everything you could think of was floating around, so I gave up on the idea of swimming. Hopefully once the summer season is properly underway they will clean it up. The beach itself is sandy and there are plenty of cafes renting sunbeds.

  3. I have never done a walking tour but Vigo is an easy walking city. There is usually a representative of the big department store (El Corte Ingles) on the dockside giving out free maps and if you are lucky there might be a voucher inside for a free coffee or glass of wine something at their cafe (we have had this 3 times). Armed with the map it is very easy to walk into town, which to be honest is fairly average. One time we walked up to the castle, quite a climb but a nice view from the top. I think we saw a couple of tourist booths also giving out maps etc so they may be able to book you in a tour when you arrive if you can't get through before.
