  1. I was also on the cruise.  The announcement about the medical evacuation must have come in around 8 or so since we were in the middle of dinner.  We were in Botticelli and looked out the window and saw the Coast Guard helicopter hovering overhead, no ropes or anything, as if it was waiting to get into position.   Then like 30 minutes later we looked out again and it was still there in the same relative position.  But I think it was only about 20 minutes after that when the captain gave the all clear.

I did feel a significant shake after this, it kind of rattled everything in the cabin in a way that it hadn’t before.  If that was what you felt, it was after the all clear so it may not have been related to the chopper

I don't remember a real time electronic map on the tv showing current location, only the webcam - not on our cruises. Is it new?

I don't know how new it is because it was my first time on that ship.  It wasn't grouped with the TV channels, it was in a section labeled "applications" and they had the map and a weather app.

  3. On the Ruby Princess last week in Alaska we had ESPN, ESPN2, and a special event channel which was showing a live NFL game the one time I checked it.  I imagine that special event channel could show MLB playoff games when they are on (not sure what network it was sourced from for the NFL game) but it might depend on the location.
