It’s one of my favorite things to do as a solo traveler. To my knowledge, I still hold the record of the number of rides in one day at 72

I take an inflatable mattress made for backpacking. Brand is klymet
very lightweight

I went to medical twice last year for falls. 1st at CocoCay water park, second was a fall on the ship. Both times I was X-rayed and given ankle wrap. No charge for either. Safety officers came and spoke with me both times, I think that’s standard
You shouldn’t be getting any sort of bill
They won’t let you off the ship with any kind of balance on an account

I have a TA in name only because she's a family friend and we want her to receive the commission. Once the booking is complete, that's the end of our business transaction. I do everything else on line re drinks package purchasing, insurance separately from a 3rd party company, excursions on my own, air travel on my own, hotels on my own, etc. I even book land AI holidays/vacations on my own.
I’ve always done that part of travel planning on my own. My TA is the one who calls with any other matter. I’m thrilled that I have him wait on hold for any answers.
The only time I’ve had to call Royal myself was when C&A points weren’t applied correctly and to use Pinnacle certificate -
Never seen Spectra. Only saw We Will Rock You once and that was on land.
Also haven’t ever sailed on Anthem. It appears you need to pick a different departure port

Grandeur to Oasis in February, there were probably 8-10 of us doing the ship switch. They put us on the second airport transfer bus and took us from Terminal G to A

I’m currently seeing a vein doctor about this issue. Never had a problem till I delivered a child. Exited the hospital not able to get my feet in my shoes.
Doc says this is more common in women than men. Heat makes it worse.
More common in left leg than right.
Had an ultrasound and I’ve got blood vessels that cross that shouldn’t (common)
Next step is a cat scan.
When I’m at home lounging in the recliner I have beautiful ankles. You can see the tendons even. Sitting, standing, walking they swell
Tried all sorts of elimination diets. No effect

I am looking at the same thing and weighing the price difference vs. value. It seems the Owners Suite comes with some additional perks since it is considered a Star Class and the Grand Suite is a Sky Class?
Sea, Sky, and Star class perks are only Oasis and Quantum class.
Suite perks on Freedom class and smaller are the same across all grand suites and above

Lol… ok… let’s try a different tack….who has got the 25yr baseball cap 🧢 and what ship did you get it on?
Received hat on Oasis on February 28 during the top tier event (and cake)

Galveston seems to be very popular this year. I booked out of New Orleans at a bit more than half the price of a cruise out of Galveston which more than paid for air, etc.
New Orleans can’t handle an Oasis class ship. This is the first year an Oasis class has sailed out of Galveston. Excitement for something new

It depends on the weather and age breakdown of passengers. Went 4x on Oasis in February. The cruise over President’s Day had loads of kids. Enjoyed a relatively empty ship. The other 3 week I enjoyed beautiful days on the island

Glad to hear everyone made it safely home, or still on ships
Followed along this thread from home, it’s helped bridge the 6-weeks on land between sailings. (13 more sleeps till Brilliance Panama Canal, anyone going? Please say hi)
I too deal with edema in my ankles and calves. I never had an issue till pregnancy and birth and it’s been a nagging problem ever since. Mine triggers whenever I get hot or with long periods of standing/slow walking. When I’m at home with my feet up in the recliner I have beautiful ankles, lol.
A few years ago I brought these pneumatic compression wraps on Kickstarter
Now I bring them on every cruise
They help tremendously
I shared with a friend and she purchased a version from Amazon.
They look weird but help me tremendously.

What's the up charge for the BBQ restaurant???
Thank you.
I like to the the kids meal; 1/4 of bbq chicken and 1 side for 3.99
Sometimes I’ll bring my own salad in with me
The current Portside musician,Nate, is on vocal rest. He did his Johnny Cash tribute and lost his voice. Hopefully he’ll be back performing before y’all leave.

General rule should just be "Don't get cute". Would they like a $2 bill more than no tip? Of course. But all things being equal, just be normal. No $2 bills, no Susan B. Anthony coins, no chocolate bars or T-shirts from your hometown.
Chocolate bars are appreciated, with a cash tip. Rice Krispy treats are a hit too.
I like being “cute”- 1

WiFi on Grandeur was awful in January. She was not running starlink then.
Hope it works for you- 1

Following along y’all’s adventures. CocoCay looks fabulous today, lots of rain here in Flagler Beach, FL
I spent the month of February on Oasis, loved every minute (except turn around day)
Probably saw Aqua80 20 times over the four weeks. If you don’t mind sitting in the splash zone you can usually get a standby seat.
I always sat ON the towel. That first number is very splashy, but you have a chance to dry off before the diving segment begins. That way you don’t have a wet towel on your lap. One night I put on some quick dry clothes and sat in the front row, had a blast. For those of you who like hanging out at Schooner in the evening AND have the UDP……Razvan a Romanian bartender LOVES the wings from Playmakers - mild. He’d much appreciate an order.
The DL is in the Music Hall because of Jazz on 4 conversion? What about the coffee machine? The espresso there was much stronger than the machine in the SL.
Have fun and thanks for the Live, living vicariously through y’all’s posts.

I'm booked on Brilliance next weekend. Purchased only one. Will find out soon enough. Key only showing on my set sail pass.
That blows my other theory about not being available on Radiance class. Sure wish this would show up for 14-night on Jewel

This ‘package’ is available on my March 2024 cruise which was booked quite a while ago. It’s offered for $122 CDN..but being a solo, it’s not worth it. And I already receive laundry, internet and a few lunches for no cost. Oddly, it’s not offered on my August 2023 cruise. I hear that the champagne is very good..but I’m sure a glass of it is cheaper than $122! 😊
That blew my theory why it wasn’t showing up for me but is for other members of our fb group. Sailing on a 16 night transatlantic and extra WiFi and laundry would be nice

Most of my sailings are on Radiance class, none of those have the package. Boy wish it did for Panama Canal next month.
It IS available for the President’s cruise, what the hell - used OBC. We already get free WiFi pinnacle perk but curious what this will get us.
My only other sailings it’s available on are 3/4 night on Freedom - same price and 100% not worth it there.- 1

Pelligrino on ice with lime. I quit drinking alcohol 40 years ago. I'm not against alcohol, its just not for me.
Pellegrino and a splash of passion fruit syrup with the lime is super tasty

Espresso martini
Limoncello and Prosecco
Aperol and Prosecco
The frozen drinks give me a brain freeze

I used to check and see how much traffic will be in port.
But in the end I realized it really made zero difference my experience.
People think to many ships will make port/island much too crowded.
But almost everywhere it makes it better.
Makes a difference at CocoCay. Huge difference if you’re on a small ship there with an Oasis class.

Just completed 4 b2b on Oasis out of Miami. The itinerary alternated between eastern and western Caribbean
Loved the whole experience, no cons for me. (I receive a free bag of wash-n-fold per cruise)
A big plus is getting to see Aqua80 multiple times.
Another plus is getting to know the staff. I kind of felt like Norm from Cheers at Playmakers

My husband said the new mattresses are hard. We like ours on the softer side. I’m hoping to get a topper for our cabin
I wish the mattresses on Wonder were fleet wide, so comfortable
