Thanks everyone! The price on the Freedom ended up dropping even further, and since my family LOVED Mahogony Bay, we went for it and booked it yesterday!
Have a great time! We will be on Freedom in April for our Honeymoon. It was between that and Vista, and an overwhelming amount of things I read said that Freedom is better because it is not as crowded and you feel like you have more space. It was a major factor for us not to mention the ports of Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel as well as the fact it ended up being the sailing the day after our wedding. I have been on Triumph in 2014 which is now the Sunshine but I understand that the layout on Freedom is pretty similar to that of the old Triumph.

Just keep checking. It sells out but most of the time they open it back up. A good time to check is right after final deposit because there are usually cancellations. Also, closer to the cruise is another time because they will have a better idea of how many priority passengers they have.
Thanks for the advice! I will keep an eye on it!

Wow! 7 months out and sold out already. We're sailing Freedom next September. I need to do our post haste!
Yeah. I am pretty sure it was sold out already when I booked it a month ago. I am guessing that April is a very popular cruise month and that may be why. Not so sure about September. Don't forget though that September is during peak hurricane season.

I tried to purchase my FTTF for my cruise in April but it is already sold out 😔

We were in cabin 7446 on the Freedom and there was not a lot of shade, but there was enough to have your head and shoulders in shade if you wanted to. We did not notice vibration at all.
Thanks for the info. We will be in 7453 in April. Looking forward to it. It will be her first cruise and my first balcony room!

Thank you. One other question for you. I have heard that those aft cabins can feel the thrusters and sometimes the engines. Did you happen to experience this?

Thank you. We booked on Deck 7 so that we wouldn't be above the comedy club or below the aft pool. I wasn't sure if there were any tricks anyone used to help keep it more shaded.

We started looking at the extended aft balcony, but then, for not a lot more, the aft wrap showed up as available! And like I said, since it was half off it made it really worthwhile! I'll let you know how it was in 453 days! (not that I'm counting, LOL!)
We started in a regular balcony room and stumbled across an aft extended for $50 more. I will keep my eyes out to see if a wrap comes available!

Based (not exclusively but in great part) on bury me at sea's recommendation, we booked Freedom for Thanksgiving 2020! I just wish it wasn't so far off! But as a plus, because of the 50% Future Cruise Credit we got from our Vista cruise in June, I was able to book our coveted aft wrap on deck 7! I've wanted one of those for ages, and with this, I could finally afford it!
I wish there was an aft wrap balcony available for our cruise but there wasn't so I settled for a standard aft balcony room. This will be my first balcony of any kind so I am excited for that.

Thank you!

I have heard that the Endless pool on Deck 9 on Carnival Freedom is adults only. Can anyone confirm this?

I have read multiple places that shade can be a bit hard to come by on the aft facing balconies. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for putting something up that can help shade the balcony?

My fiance and I are going on what will be her first cruise in April of next year on Freedom! I really appreciate the info you have provided!

My fiance and I are going on what will be her first cruise for our honeymoon next April on the Carnival Freedom. The last cruise I went on with Carnival was in 2014 on Triumph (which I think now is the Sunrise). I just wanted to get an idea from those who have been on both on what the similarities and differences are and what your favorite things to do on Freedom are. Thanks all!

Freedom is a Conquest Class ship but I never thought about doing that. I will try searching other Conquest Class ships. Thanks for the help!

I have been on the Carnival Ecstasy in 2008 and the Carnival Triumph in 2014 both interior rooms. My fiance will be going on her first cruise for our honeymoon next April aboard the Carnival Freedom and we have aft balcony #7453 on the Empress Deck. I have exhausted most of the internet trying to find pictures of this particular room so that I can see for myself and show my fiance. Does anyone have any pictures and/or videos of this room? Thanks in advance!

I am going to try to resurrect this again. I am in Room 7453 on Carnival Freedom in April. We upgraded from a regular balcony for only $50 more. My only concern is engine noise. Has it been bothersome for anyone else? Also, as far as looking at Stars, is there more light at the back of the ship near these type balconies?
