We disembarked in Miami last Saturday. CBP was not using the "normal" facial recognition system. They were checking everyone and everyone's passport (like the old days). Non-US people had to wear big "IMMIGRATIONS" stickers and were routed to other lines. Someone in front of us got pulled to secondary inspection leaving us with no CBP officer serving our line. It is strange that they are hassling closed loop passengers on a cruise ship with 100% accountability.

Bird, were you on the Pearl? What a mess trying to get off. Never had so much trouble.

Interestingly enough, I repriced 2 of my booked 2022 cruises early this morning and this time the prices are actually lower - 6% & 9% - plus they both have triple points.  Have a mock booking to hold those prices until I hear back from my PCC.

The "2 extra points" offer goes through Feb 2022 but if you try to get a list of applicable cruises, you get no results.  However, if you do a mock booking, the code will be LATDBLX.

How/where do you see those codes when doing a mock booking?

Since this thread is about the Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa's.  I have an interesting tid bit.  Go to the November 27, 2021 Joy sailing.  Check out the price on the Two Bedrooms with veranda and the Two Bedroom with Large Veranda.  The Large Veranda is less expensive then the smaller one.  WHY, less of them were sold.

This is the key to the NCL pricing.  It is automated.  It is not a person making these decisions.  I find this very interesting.  So when you see higher then normal cabin prices, it is due to less being available.  Supply and Demand.

Come on man! Gary, keep it quiet! I noticed that yesterday and I was thing about snapping one up in a few weeks. I had to cancel the Oct 16 cruise since I cannot walk right now. Surgery in mid October should help. Trying to fine something late Nov or early Dec.

Your prose convinced me to do the Haven to Alaska, now maybe Joy in Miami or Bliss in L.A.

Oh, please, please, please post that review.  I am in the same room on the joy and 75 days.

Yes, I would love seeing it.

Gary, do you know if the 2nd bdr in the H5 category is designed for adults or is it more of a kid's room? Looking to upgrade from HE if it makes sense and take another couple with us on Encore in Oct.

    Thanks, Dan

Just put in the minimum bids (same exact bids) from a Club Balcony Cabin to a Haven Spa Suite, a Haven Forward Facing Suite, A Haven Courtyard Suite with Large Balcony, and a Haven Courtyard Suite.  Given the minimum bids, don't know if I have any chance.  Thought I'd give it a shot, though.

This is for the 10/2 sailing of the Encore to Alaska.

You will get the red one. Prices have come way down for this sailing.

Better than tendering.... which is the alternative

Bird, thanks for all the other fantastic posts on/after your Aug 7 cruise.

What do you think will happen to the Oct cruises when there are no other ships in Ketchikan.

    Ward Cove still?

Our just cancelled October cruise on the Joy still shows in MyNcl also.   We never saw the 'Your cruise is on hold' notice.   However, NCL did add the 10% off coupon to my account.

Our Jewel cruise on Jan 20 now has that "Your cruise is on hold" banner on MyNcl.

The Jewel was not mentioned in the latest list.

What ship were you on that got your in port when others couldn't?

Northern Lights are a must for me as well, I will probably book a special trip just for that someday.

    Probably the Pearl.

We're skipping the BBQ place in October. Plenty of those back home.

    In Ohio?   Oh well.

We did the Q on the Joy Sept 2019, very forgettable. I hate buffets, but the buffet was better.

Definitely do not use a SDP credit there. Plenty of low cost entrees.

As a former resident of Alaska, I endorse this benefit.  I would also cruise in October.  Just layer up.

We are doing the 3rd week in October.

We have done Alaska on the 2nd,3rd,3rd and 4th weeks of September and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Only issue was bad weather kept other ships out of Ketchikan the day we were there. We had the place to ourselves and got great deals on souvenirs.

We did 8 days north of Fairbanks last November in temps of 20 above to 21 below zero to see the Northern Lights. Awesome. Outside in shirtsleeves at 2am and 21 below, loved it.

Is Wasabi part of another restaurant?  I'm on the Encore in October and can't find it listed in the specialty dining options.  Thx.  (I don't touch sushi but my adult daughter lives on the stuff...)

Hey Cap'n, what week in October?  We are on Oct 16-23. Dan & Kathy
