  1. Hey all,

Going to Labadee for the first time. We want to do a cabana because some are super discounted now (cheap for our chartered cruise at least), and aren’t sure which to pick.

a Hilltop Cabana at Barefoot for $399

an Overwater Cabana at Nellie’s for $699

Given a choice, especially this time of the year, would prefer a day in Miami instead of another sea day - visit Little Havana for a good cup of sidewalk Cuban coffee.  Norwegian Dawn used to do a 7 days out of NY back on the good old days on its Florida/Bahamas run with some interesting shorex available.

Sounds lovely! Well there is no NCL ship in their Miami terminal in the back half of the week, so maybe if we all call we can beg for it back 😂

  3. I remember the pool bar and atrium/casino bar had them, but the staff was sometimes rude about making anything close to a standard drink at some locations. We couldn’t even get a margarita at a few of the bars (and no, not at the whiskey only bar). It definitely felt different from other ship experiences.

  4. My first cruise was on the NCL Bliss and their shows were great, and had amazing production values, so I was sort of disappointed when I went on the Anthem next and it was....subpar. Granted, it was We Will Rock You, which may be the worst musical I've ever sat through. Not sure it's entirely RCL's doing, but the performers didn't help. Going on the Oasis in May, so we will definitely watch Cats. I feel like we can only go up haha

  5. Hi all,

My family wants to book a Bahamas excursion for later this month. My sister wants her kids to swim with the dolphins while she watches, but according to RCL, she would need to purchase a "Swim with the Dolphins" package to watch them. Seeing as it takes place at Blue Lagoon, is it possible for her to just purchase an excursion to the island (a lot cheaper) and then she will be able to can watch? How open is the area for people to explore and watch other activities?

    Thanks for any insight

welcome back!    just a couple of random questions!    Do u know if there was a gift shop raffle, usually the first nite?  Also did u see the zipline at GSC?   wondered how much it is? Glad u enjoyed Six, looking forward to seeing it and Jersey Boys. Maybe someome can post the dailys,  cause its the same itinerary as mine in March!   thx in advance

There was a gift shop raffle every day. They only drew out one ticket, so it was a bit of a long shot.

My travel companions did Zipline at GSC. They really enjoyed it! I think it was $59 before discounts and credits.

And the itineraries change all the time, so it definitely won't be the same in March.

  7. Just got off a lovely Bliss vacation! My first cruise too...

I don't have copies of the Freestyles, but can answer any questions you may have. The one glaring thing I noticed was a removal of the "Escape the Room" activity. Also, I was surprised how short some activities were. (Dance parties were 45 min long sometimes)

The only classes that seemed to cost money were the spin classes.

All food was included on the island. Drinks were included too with the beverage package. Mostly hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, fruit, and a taco stand. It was 100% worth getting off. GSC was beautiful, and very relaxing. We wanted to try for a villa or cabana, but honestly, we didn't even miss it. Our time there was so short, so it would've been a waste of money.

Check in was so smooth for us. Very organized, and we got on the ship quicker than we expected.

Shore excursions credits were add onto the account after doing the excursion. Was never charged incorrectly for anything. Note that even with the beverage package, you'll be charged taxes on drinks while in ports (they'll put up signs to let you know).

Also, SIX is amazing. It's definitely a show geared to a younger crowd (its a pop musical), but I hope you enjoy it! The cast is incredible, and in my opinion, better than the West End cast.

  8. I'm on this cruise. I was watching, and it actually had a fair amount of availability in the oceanview, balcony, and mini suites, but then suddenly one morning, everything was sold out except for inside rooms. I imagine they did a big upgrade sweep at that time and sold off the remaining inside. I have to say its fairly unlikely you'll get an upgrade, but you never know!
