  1. Just off the 11/29 sailing on the Explorer. Lunch was crazy at the Windjammer. The lines were to the pools to get into the buffet. We headed down to the Promenade deck and had sandwiches from the cafe. Had we known that Johnny Rockets opened at noon that day (didn't know that until we got to our room and saw our Compass for the day), we would have glady paid the surcharge to get away from the craziness. I really wish RCCL would open their dining room on embarkation day. We have had this with other lines and it is so much more relaxing for your first dining experience.

  2. My sister is getting ready to cruise with her family. She has two children that were adopted from the Congo. They have been adopted in the US and have state issued birth certificates but do not have their Citizenship documentation yet (still waiting for that to arrive). Just wondering where to find information on what they will need to do for boarding and disembarkation. Will this be a nightmare? They have their original passports with their African names, plus US permanent resident cards in their African names and their state issued birth certificates with their American names. Will they need to go through the non US immigration? Thanks for any help.

  3. I've done the free character breakfasts before and while my kids found it fun to take pictures with the characters, the service and food were well below what we expect from RCCL. I would not want to pay $10 per person for what we have experienced. It's just not that impressive.

I used to love cruising because my costs were fixed and I knew what to expect. I am getting tired of all the add on charges. It needs to stop.
