O'Shaughnesy's on NCL is the best.  24 hour pub food.

We were aboard Getaway last fall, and I awakened at 0430. Went down to O'Shaugnesy's and they were closed. Was not happy.

    Friends,

I have managed to upload the photos of self and wife.  All done.....cute looking green ticks for 'passenger data' AND 'security photo'.  Next page shows options for MSC to send the documents to my email.  But, then comes an admonition in dark pink letters "

IMMEDIATE ACTION: We kindly ask you to complete the health questionnaire and accept our passage contract as quickly as possible. Please enter your booking details below, access the web check-in and locate the health questionnaire section as well as the passage contract.

What now?!  I can't find the health questionnaire and passage contact anywhere.

My cruise is 80 days away.

WILL I BE SENT THE HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE ETC 'within 20 days of my cruise departure'?

    Someone, kindly enlighten.

    Warm regards from India,

    Rakesh

Try completing it in the MSC For Me app. Works much better than the website.

  3. Considering that MSC's website is as much of a mess as any other lines, I can't seem to complete the web check-in. It has saved all of my info except the cruise booking number, our cabin number, and vaccination statuses. When I enter the booking and cabin numbers, then click "add", I get this error message: "Travel cruise not correct. Different cruise, no travel with"

    Anyone else have this issue?

I've never sailed on either but would love to hear the good, the bad and the ugly.  We have two choices of 10-11 day Caribbean cruises and are torn which line to choose.  On the face, the itineraries are both good and the prices are comparable.  I have mostly sailed Carnival but also RC and NCL. We are not crazy party people (early 60s)  but both HAL and MSC seem very upscale. Can you tell me your opinions?  Thank you in advance.

I'm 57. My sister is 10 years older than me, and cruised HA last year. She said they were the youngest couple on board Heaven's Waiting Room. Your results may vary.

  5. Hello All,

The "official" decree from MSC is " Unvaccinated guests are required to submit a negative test at embarkation.".

I've seen in several threads today that people embarking were not asked for any test results over the last week or two. Can any of you speak to this being true? (Karens retweeting the party line, please refrain.)

I too will be ignoring your posts.  I think you are extremely rude.

To ask whether YC has gone downhill is a legitimate question.  I backed it up with comments from the cruise that I just got off of. Those are not my comments, but remarks from others who just sailed in Yacht Club.  I'm further quantifying the concerns from what is shown in the video, the fact that they're serving $10 bottles of wine, the food presented in the YC restaurant, etc.  And of course, phissy just shared that the YC gift, which was previously 2 nice MSC hats, has now become a 5 cent ballpoint pen.

All put together are reasonably suggestive that, perhaps, they have lowered the YC standards in different ways.  It certainly seems like a subject worth discussing.

Nobody like to ***** and moan more than a Cruise Critic.

I love a pillow I can scruntch into a ball.  I found the perfect one.  It's called a Travel Pillow from My Pillow.  I bring it with me on all the cruises.  Also, I've learned that One Size Fits All Robes, Don't.  I bring my own.  I'm a light packer so plenty of room for those creature comforts.

We got one of those as a free gift from Mike Lindell when we bought my wife's MyPillow. I crash on the couch with it regularly.

    Crew still masking.

Glad you posted. Hoping you would. We think that your and our recommendation to MSC helped butler Annalisa get her transfer to Seascape. We have her now and gave her a copy of our letter requesting her services on their beautiful new Seascape for our December and January sailings in the YC. She was told of her acceptance recently. MSC is listening to us all.

Why? Masking requirements have been dropped.

That's not a good thing. Chicken pox is highly contagious.

It is highly contagious if one has never contracted it. If you had a good, solid case of it as a kid, you've little to no concern. Additionally, many adults who HAVE had it in childhood received the Varicella vaccine, and are protected more.

We have always had perfectly cooked dinners at Cagney's.

You seem to be following me around tonight. Thanks for making me the center of your Universe.

Our steaks on Bliss were beyond perfection, I'm so happy everything in your world is so perfect.

See you in my next post!

  11. I sent my steak back twice at Cagney's as it was not cooked properly. The manager came over to chastise me, as if I were trying to get a free meal. I was. It's called Free at Sea. The issue was, their staff could not simply cook a Medium Rare NY Strip. Worst cruise experience ever.

Our best meal that cruise was at Le Bistro. Everything was perfect.
