Thanks Geoherb.

Our cabin will be forward on Emerald deck and we are on board for 2 weeks.
Any advice on M D Rs would be appreciated.
We are used to much smaller ships such as Azamara where we just turn up and dine.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Also interested in views for this tour which is expensive but this is probably our only visit to NZ.
We are on Nov 25 Cruise antigen tests permitting.

Apologies.
I have been reminded it was Cruise Director ,Tanya, who informed us that many people requested more atmosphere.
I have no way of knowing if piped music was what they had in mind or who these people were.
-
We were on April 2 Pursuit cruise and highlighted the horrible piped music in our mid cruise survey.
The hotel director did seek us out ... only 236 passengers...
Apparently the majority of people want more atmosphere which includes piped music.
We particularly hated it on the Sunset Deck.
We have loved Azamara but the way many things are changing this may be ,sadly, the end of our love affair.😪

Would love to hear from anyone on Pursuit today.
I hope everyone was able to embark.
Please enjoy and only reply if you really have time.

Thanks uktog.
We ,like John are on the April 2nd Pursuit cruise.
Azamara have only just informed us that our 9-15 flight to Barcelona is now 6-15.
I am sure ,once onboard ,the staff will be wonderful , as always but since the change of ownership there is a lot to be desired from the office.
-
Also strongly disagreed with piped music especially on the pool deck.
Fingers crossed we are not alone.

Thanks for your help.
I only just found this. The usual notification must have passed me by.
We were considering this cruise over Xmas but indirect flights , or direct on the wrong days ,plus complicated testing procedures and uncertainty about excursions has sadly resulted in not booking at this time.
Such a shame.

Some cruise lines are insisting on ship excursions only.
Does anyone know if this is the case with Azamara?

I rang Regent UK a week before Final payment date for my Dec 20 asking about any itinerary changes .I was told no changes had been made.
I was then offered the opportunity to move the deposit.
I was reluctant to do this .
Then I was offered ,without any prompting ,a full deposit refund.
I informed my agent who double checked with Regent and confirmed a full refund which I was pleased to accept.
Regent UK took the worry out of this situation but I am at a loss as to why it has taken so long to publicly cancel.

According to a post on the Oceania Board ,the December sailing, Bali to Sydney and return, is cancelled.
-
All the countries on this itinerary are closed to visitors.
Other major cruise lines have cancelled voyages.
Why is Regent/NCL not following?
-
Thank you all for your prompt comments.
I have spoken to the TA .
We have been given an extension.

Our online Cruise TA has threatened by email to cancel our Dec cruise tomorrow with loss of deposit unless final payment is made , although we have been speaking to a call operator, who supposedly is looking into the matter.
How are others in the UK managing?
I hope you are having better outcomes..We are over 70 and Health and Safety matters.

Our TA...a large online Cruise agent...e mailed and rang to request our final payment quoting Regent as pressing for the balance!!!.
Strangely the same agent was very elusive when we requested a refund for a cancelled cruise. We eventually received this through Chargeback.
We can only assume ours was the only agent Regent did not inform when they issued the final payment extension on Aug 3.
-
Regent has extended payment time for our Dec 20 cruise but our UK agent is demanding payment now.
Has anyone else had this issue please?

Re- our Ireland cruise in May, cancelled in April.
6 days ago we we finally lost patience with the TA and raised a dispute with our credit card company. Three days ago we received an email from the TA to confirm that the money was being refunded and today it arrived in the credit card account.
If left to the large online cruise agent, would this have happened ?
Thank you all for your advice and Good Luck to those still waiting.

I last posted on July 2nd.
We are still awaiting the refund for our May Ireland tour which was cancelled on April 17.
This is all down to the large online cruise agent in the UK.
Our case was "escalated" on July 2nd.
On 13 July we were told we were at 88 days.
22 July .....this became 79 days.
Now we are only told we are on the list.
How are others doing on time frame from this agent please?
-
Yes,this is an internet cruise specialist.
In fairness to them, during the drone crisis at Gatwick ,(we were sitting on the runway at the time the airport was closed),
they did get us out to Argentina in time to sail.
I will post when I hear further.
-
We were due to be on the same cruise as manc.
We also paid our deposit onboard and received this back from Azamara very promptly after cancellation.
The large UK TA we used have consistently insisted they are waiting for the refund from Azamara.
Yesterday I spoke to Azamara.
It transpires we will wait forever for Azamara to refund as they never received the final payment.
They have an agreement with the TA whereby the payment is wired across 2 weeks before sailing.
As the cruise was cancelled before then, the TA has the money.
New to Saga
in Saga Cruises

Bloodaxe ,we are long time Azamara cruisers and have just returned from our first Saga cruise.
We found it to be excellent in all aspects.
I cannot comment on the coffee but everything else was very good.
