I read the letter as saying that you have to pay for the Princess Plus package before December 14 to get the old pricing.  Other places seem to say that you have to pay for everything by that date.  But either way, it doesn't matter what you reserved, it only matters whether you paid for Princess Plus by the December date.  I don't think it matters what the price was when you reserved if you haven't paid for it.  I guess we'll be able to find out on December 14.

Yellow Fever is still around too, just not in the Canal Zone at present. Some South American itineraries still require the vaccine.

Yep, one cruise in November and another in January. It just happened that way because of pricing and timing.

We'll be on the Westerdam leaving San Diego on November 5, 2016.

We were on the Westerdam in 2011 and it was a very gay-friendly ship at the time.

I agree with your choice of Celebrity over RCI; I've been on Celebrity and liked it, and I've heard bad things about how RCI handles problems.

RCI will probably have a younger crowd, but you wouldn't be the only people under 50 on Celebrity. Thanksgiving week is a wild card - some people will take their children out of school for a few days to go on a cruise, but it also depends on what specials the cruise lines are offering for that week. The week before Christmas is also likely to have children sailing.

I like Saint Martin. The Sint Maarten side is more crowded and touristy, but it's not the worst place I've been.

Weather's a factor in deciding between a cruise and London. The cruise would be more relaxing, but there might be more to do in London if there are storms.

For a honeymoon, I'd do the cruise, and get a balcony in a quiet part of the ship. Maybe even a suite!
