  1. Hi Dave,

The Captain's name was Ed Perrin (British man), extremely nice and genuine. We shook his hand at the Coctail party. He seems to be pretty young. I'd put him in his forties or early fifties... The cruise director's name was James Ibriham..from Austraila...Also, very nice, if not a little hokey...He was just silly every morning on the television with his assistant Julie. I didn't see too much of him around the ship, but once in a while, he's show up at an event that we were at...Young man too!

    Patti :)

Please tell me what does "hokey" mean?

We have also sailed with James, we think he is a fine young man with a very good sense of humour, even if its an Australian one :D

  2. Grumpy,

That is the funniest cruise story I have ever read! I haven't stopped laughing since I read it. I do hope you are feeling 100% by now.

    Bill and Mary Ann,

I too am enjoying your postings and am looking forward to reading each and everyone of them.

Yep dwarfs can tell the dandiest stories, leg pulling and all, I am sitting here with tears cascading down my face. Thanks grumpy, I really enjoy your "dumb sense of humour" :D

  3. We are arriving from down-under next Tuesday evening in Vancouver, very excited 1st time to Canada. We have 2 1/2 days before we join our ship. Since the upheaval with air travel occurred last month (we had planned to bring wine with us from home) now we can't carry liquids in the cabin and its much too much of a hassle to pack in luggage because of weight restrictions, Here is my question, can we buy NZ Sauv.blanc in downtown area at a reasonable cost, or has someone some other suggestions? and where we go to buy.

Also what are the suggestions for making the best use of our time while we are in the city. All suggestions will be much appreciated.
