I find it best to tap them on the head first; it's kinder
But nothing like as much fun:D

then feed to the cat
Force feeding the cat Pol Acker could be a very painful end:D

More usefully, does anyone have any culinary tips for grey squirrels, which arrogantly disport themselves in my garden, and don't even seem to hibernate?
Since you ask Larousse says "SQUIRREL - Wild rodent. In some countries, it is highly esteemed as game. It is cooked in the same way as rabbit."
So although not exactly a recipe it should prove helpful once you've caught them:)

Can I suggest a home in York?
I was going to reply in great shock and say no, not York! But thinking about it once they've grown up a bit there'll be some meat on them:)
-
I take it you've tried releasing the hounds?
They're scared of it:( They take one look and go into hiding.
-
errr...see the muuuu-duuuurrrr; it may assist.
We tried cat and propeller - the b****y thing worked out we were trying to kill it!
-
Surely it should be 1,001 uses for a dead cat. Or was that covered earlier, and I missed it?:D
As long as it's a dead ORANGE cat I think it would be a very helpful thread:) Of course it would first need to explain how to kill the cat:D

Anyway does anyone know what exactly is an Inflatable Tubular Torso Restraint?
A search on Google suggests http://www.freepatentsonline.com/6336656.html who say "A seat restraint system whose torso belt includes an inflatable structure that inflates upon impact to protect the occupants of a vehicle such as an automobile". If you are really interested they write quite a lot more about it on the site:)

I keep hoping that someone will post and force the next page to appear. As nobody else has yet I've had to do it myself:)

You cousins over there have been mightily busy this morning...do any of you have real jobs that you get paid for???;)
Jobs? What are they?:)
-
WOW Paul...I believe you have answered the question about what Pol really is. Varnish....who knew?:rolleyes:You have noticed how all the outdoor railings are so shiny haven't you?:D
Can't be the PA on the rails - that stuff would strip varnish, not make it shiny:(
-
You think people would pay for this muck?
Why not? Cunard must do. (and those who drink it pay as well:D )
-
I'm going to have to do 'something' with that bottle currently residing in the fridge
Would you like a second one to keep it company?:D (You never know they might breed:eek: Wouldn't you like a fridge full of PA?)
-
It needed to be rescued!
Thank you:) I was getting so worried about it. I was afraid it had been moved to its final resting place:(
-
Good heavens that dining room is not asthetically pleaseing to the eye
That is an understatement worthy of a true Brit:)

In order to answer your original question "What exactly is Pol Acker?", the answer is that it is merely a 'blanc de blanc' still wine with carbon dioxide added in order to give it effervescence.
David - I thought that as well. But when I examine my 3 year old bottle it says it undergoes "A slow secondary fermentation". This I take to mean that yeast is the source of the fizz - although I'm fairly sure it's not done in the bottle.
Tell me if you get fed up of me. Obviously, that will make it even better. :pHS - I'm truly fed up with you:mad: Go away:p

If you can name that tune, you win a beverage of your choice.
10 Green Bottles?:)

Steve, you need to learn to insert the quote and /quote notations if you want to make your comments distinct from those of the person you quote.
I don't intend to address all of what you added to Matthew's comments (which describe my ideal cruise, BTW), but two just beg for replies.
Kathy - can I raise a third? There is a difference between "adult converstation as the main entertainment" and "adult enterainment":p

Because certain un-named people from the Cunard board insist on going over to the Carnival boards to bait them and troll?
But I have to tell you there are some on Carnival that seem to have a better sense of humor (and a more laissez faire attitude) than some on the Cunard boards.
Karie - I haven't come across anyone on the Cunard board that has been as rude and unfriendly as several were to me on the Carnival board. I don't think any of them have been told to go away and not come back because they're not wanted here. I think we are quite happy to laugh with them and not at them:)
-
Hence that funky flavor you all are raving about.
Raving? Are we raving about it? Most people admit to not liking it. We treat it as a sort of joke. I suppose that could be considered as raving but that isn't a term I would use.
Carnival boards under threads about kiddie pools and swimmy diapers. :pIs this the first time on the Cunard board that someone has used such blunt terms to talk about a possible situation?

I have no love for any line I like them all.
Have you ever travelled with Cunard? A lot of people find that until they do they can't see why Cunard is so highly rated by its passengers.
I would love to be able to travel on the QM2 for a trans Atlantic in the future when my kids are not part of the picture.Cunard are very good with kids. Not only do the kids come back saying what a good time they've had but the adults come back saying they've hardly seen them for the entire trip:)

So if i sit and drool all day , So must you !
I don't drool all day - I sleep for quite a lot of it:)
Do you have a Walker ,or a hairy chest , or both ? :rolleyes:I've got a minder (Paul) does that count:confused: but, as to the other thing - guilty as charged:o (Do I get a prize for that admission:D )

Is the Cunard forum being boarded?
I'm just wondering that. If it is the case then we can show another difference between Cunard and Carnival by answering the questions asked without resorting to being (too:p ) rude:)
