  1. Does Disney offer a soda package? I know that it is included at the beverage stations at in the dining room, but my husband won't want to have to run to the beverage station every time he wants a soda.

  2. Hi everyone! My husband and I have taken many cruises in the past, but we are looking at taking our first Disney Cruise in December with our 3 year old. I have a couple of questions...

    • Is our deposit refundable if something changes before our final payment is made?

    • What beverages are included in the cruise rate?

    • Is Castaway Cay tendered or docked?

    • What are the hours of the kids club?

    • As experienced cruisers, but DCL newbies, what are things we must know?

Thank you for all your help! :)

  3. Has anyone stayed in this room? What was the noise like?

We are traveling with our 2 year old and are booked in this room. I'm starting to get nervous about the location and the noise but our only option is to move to a Grand Suite for $1400 more. We are willing to do that if this room will be miserable but it's a lot of money and I'd prefer not to do that if it won't be too bad.

    Thanks!

  4. Please do not check your car seat as luggage when flying. Since your 2 yo is required to have his/her own seat anyway, just use your car seat on the plane. You simply don't know how luggage handlers will handle your car seat and whether it will be compromised on arrival. Using it on the plane is the only way to make sure that your seat arrives WITH you and that it will not be damaged. You may not see the hidden damage, but your seats may be unsafe.

I would NEVER check my car seat. My son has been flying since he was 6 months old and we have always purchased a seat for him. I'm always shocked how many people trust the airlines to keep their seat safe!

  5. Looking for advice from people who have taken a car seat on the ship with them. We have one private van excursion planned and I'm trying to decide if I should bring the seat for my 2 year old. It seems like a huge hassle, but I also want him to be safe.

If you've taken one, what tips can you provide?

    Thanks!

  6. We will be cruising to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Mahogany Bay, and Belize in October with our 2 year old. Can someone give me an idea of kid friendly activities in each port? I'm ok with staying in the port area if there is fun stuff for him.

Also, I know that the pools on Carnival are off limits because he is not potty trained, but what about the splash pads since they are just ankle deep water? We will be on the Carnival Magic.

    Thanks!

  7. Your ship shadowed mine, the Glory, with the exception of Amber Cove. I have to say, you all looked like you were having a great time!! Lots of energy at Margaritaville, of which your ship won more points and when we pulled out of Grand Turk before you, I think 50% of those on the Magic were bidding us adue with great gusto from their balconies and lido deck!

I would have loved to sit in in one of the hot tubs hanging off the sides of the ship though I wonder how occupied they must have been at all times.

I hope to one day take a trip on the Magic, sounds like you had a fun trip!

Margaritaville was soooo much fun! Comparing Glory to Magic, I much prefer Glory. The promenade in the Magic is basically outside where those hot tubs are. The is virtually no promenade inside. So you have to walk through the casino and smoke to get from the from to the back of the ship. I think the Glory is designed better.

I was trying to take a nap when y'all were leaving GT and the hollering, whistling, etc was so loud so I had to go outside and join the fun!

Glad y'all had a good cruise!

  8. Our room was very close to a hot tub. They were very crowded and fairly noisy. But we were OK with that as it is vacation time. The hot tubs are thoroughly cleaned. I am an early riser and watched the cleaning process.

The food on the Magic was great. We dined at the Italian restaurant and it was top notch.

This is so strange - we never heard anything from the hot tubs. In fact I never noticed more than 2-3 people in them at a time.
