I can only find pictures of the cabins before they were revolutionised.

    Thanks in advance.

I am not sure the cabins have been revolutionised. I heard someone say that on our cruise. Looking at photo's from 2015, the cabins still look the same. The shower had definitely been used, as there was mould in the grooves between panels. Some of the public areas may have been upgraded, but the MDR still looks the same, with the same chairs. I think most of the revolution probably went into the Retreat offering on board, with the suites being upgraded and the new Retreat areas created.

We were in Concierge class 1231.

When we were on Summit, the cabins had been revolutionised and there was smoked glass for drawer and cupboard fronts compared to the wood finish on Constellation. The shower curtain from Constellation was gone and replaced with glass On Summit.

    It was still comfortable though.

Can I ask people who have just disembarked what the procedure was and what time did you get off the ship?

The disembarkation process was the same as pre-Covid cruises we have been on. We got our luggage labels and instructions after lunch the day before. We had to have our bags outside our stateroom by 10pm, if you weren't carrying them off the ship yourself.

Those that wanted to disembark under their own steam left the ship at 07:00. There were various points around the ship for the different groups to wait for their number to be called. As there were so few passengers, the numbers were called in blocks, starting at 7am. We were scheduled to debark at 8am, but were called at 07:30. We finished our coffee in the MDR and proceeded to the gangway.

The last scheduled departure was at 09:30.

Only difference that I noticed was in Concierge Class. Normally they ask us what time we would like to debark, but this time we had not choice.

This is on the Eurofins portal..

'Login to our portal to access your QR Code, make updates to your profile, and schedule your Debark testing appoint on the first day of your cruise. '. Looks like  there will be some testing before we leave the ship.  Communication, communication, communication.....not

We have received our debarkation information and there is no mention of a test that needs to be completed.

I logged into the Eurofin app and it simply states that I am clear to debark.

With regards to the PCR tests, our QR codes were not scanned when we were tested. The lady conducting the test already had our details on her ipad and asked us to confirm our DoB and names. She did scan the bar code on the test kit though and we had our results back within 36 hours.

I wouldn't stress about it too much. If you use Celebrity's preferred provider (Eurofins) and they mess it up, it is up to Celebrity to sort it out. Just do as instructed and plan to arrive at the port as normal. You will have a great time on-board.

Presuming that you will have already had a “Chic Night”  and as someone who is about to start packing, could some of you onboard at present give some feedback on how enthusiastically the dress code has been embraced please?

Are many people taking the opportunity to don their glad rags and glam up or have most people taken the more casual approach?
We would very much appreciate any info you can give. Thank you !!

Tonight is chic night. We are at the Captain's Club soirée.

There are quite a few ladies in elegant evening wear with their partners in DJ's. We will be dressing for the evening too.

I would pack for 'chic night' as the vast majority at this event are dressed and I guess the rest of the guests will be too.

I was presuming that if you had a drinks package, then VAT would not be levied on your drinks, and could order drinks up to the level of your package.
Hopefully somebody on board the 3rd July sailing will clarify.

We are on the premium drinks package (currently aboard). You can order anything from the drinks menu under $18 and there are no additional charges. I have had a few martini's for $16 and there have been no additional charges added to our account. I have also had single malt whisky and there have been no additional charges for that either.

  6. I have been following our cruise prices for next year July from Southampton.

The price of the same cabin has now dropped by £540. If I cancelled my current booking, forfeited my £300 deposit and rebooked, I would be £240 better off. There is, of course, the hassle factor of doing it all again.

Any thoughts on what to do. Would it be worth talking to Celebrity and see if they will price match.
