  1. Here's a thought. Maybe those that could not get reservations should have booked before the cruise like you did. [emoji6]

Pretty sure they had an opportunity. Most Pins didn't.

We couldn't secure any reservations until Friday night, and then on a day by day basis.

    Just sayin'

Maybe they did not know how to work the system like you do or realize the need to book ahead.

  2. Johann used to do large chocolate grand pianos....they were amazing in detail....the top was open, the inside was full of goodies, and the keyboard was white and dark chocolate.

We brought our ship home last week, have it stored in the fridge, and will give it to the granddaughters when we tell them that they are going on a cruise.

  3. I live by the runner's motto, "I Love Running, Just Not While I'm Doing It." I am absolutely certain I will run on the OASIS track, so I can eat a ton of food and get my endorphins and feel normal. Has anyone used the track? Is it a nice, smooth continuous track, or are there bends or stairs? Is it crowded? What is the distance of one lap? Is there water available on the route? How much of the track is outside? What is the surface made of?

Okay, that's a lot of questions. I will include track info in my cruise review. We are leaving in 5 days!

Running track 2.2 laps equal 1 mile. It's semi-outdoors....see video below. It's on deck 5 and goes all around the ship. Nice surface and no stairs. Water fountain close to Fitness Center entrance.

  4. Bobal - Your post is a little confusing. The post before your has a picture of a dog. The post before that encourages more dog photos. Yet you say Redsoxfan put it so well. Redsoxfan does not want to see dog photos.

    So which is it???

Where did I say I didn't want to see dog photos?

You have the ability to block posters that you find problematic.

Not sure I posted a pic from balcony on this thread, but if you say so.

Posted dog pics, because this is a thread about dogs.

    Welcome back to the fold

I'm well aware that I can block a poster and have done so. Where did I say you posted a pic from a balcony?

My post was about threads going off topic and sharing a place to have threads to share pictures and conversation. How about a Friends of Bella thread in Friends of Cruise Critic. Oh....but like your friend Grapau said "I post on a couple of floataway lounge threads which are always pleasant.

Incidentally your post count does not increase with posts on floataway lounge threads."

  5. Because most of us never post.

Welcome me to cc as it’s my first post.

It’s your kind of nonsense that keeps me off of cc. And why cruising has become annoying. Consider me one of the 99.9% silent majority who is sick of attention seeking dog owners.

Massive applause for this. I - and I would imagine many more - totally agree with you:D:D but also won't comment because the CC big hitters will wade in and it's really not worth the hassle of disagreeing with them and their cronies/admirers

Unfortunately some people have such big egos that comments such as yours will always fall on stony ground

    Totally agree.

I'm one who lurks and hasn't posted in a long time. CC has changed since I joined in 2006. I know many posters who don't post much anymore because of some of the reasons noted above.

What happened to threads staying on topic? I see many that morph into personal chatter but are allowed to continue. Posted pictures, comments and replies should relate to the thread topic. Cruise Critic is not an entertainment forum like some have made it to be. CC has a section called Friends of Cruise Critic where you can start threads and talk about whatever you want. Maybe that would be a good place to chat and post pictures.

I know I can scroll by a thread or posts but many times there's good information buried in amongst the drivel.

  6. Here's a chart for Q's dining venues along w/prices, dress code, deck location/level,meal time and 'notes'...

Thanks for putting this together. I understand that Grande was listed as formal dress except that Royal will not enforce the dress code it lists. What a shame in that it is about the only place that originally required formal. Royal please enforce the formal dress as listed.

  7. yes please do. This is a most confusing thread to read. Stop copying and posting entire threads.

I agree completely. I feel we should just let the Reporters do their job and most questions will be answered. It is difficult to wade through all the copying of posts and then a Thank you. I want to see what the reporters report and not all the un needed replies. If you have a question then post it. Thank the reporters on the last day for their total posts. This is just my opinion but it sure would be easier to see what the Quantum reporters have to say. I do not mean to offend anyone.
