That's a hefty sum. Can I ask what the Concierge does for you on a typical voyage to warrant such a tip?

 

I'm not judging.. Just curious.. Staying in my first suite as I write this.

Great service.

I just got off the Allure and tipped the concierge $400.

I always stay in a suite and have never tipped less then $250.

Dexter is the senior concierge in the Suite Lounge. He does not rotate, but stays there. He says the others do rotate between Diamond and Suite Lounge.

He is the best

Yes I do, He will escort me off the ship in every port and for any time dining will walk me to the main dining room to avoid lines. I always seems to get the time I want for the specailty dining. I have had some butlers on other lines and got use to the service.

I have had four owners suite and have always given the concirege $200 on the first day and $100 on the last day if the service is good. Which is has always been.

After 30 cruises with RCCL, I have never been served a cold meal. If I was, I would simply send it back, big deal. The MDR food is very good.

I would NEVER use the word VERY GOOD to rate the food in the main dining room. It like saying Sizzler or Outback is as good as Mastro's or Morton's.

Everybody has there own taste.

RC lovers always bash you when you state your opinion.

If I spend the mney for a Owners Suite, which Ialways do, I don't mind spending the extra money for the speciality restaurants.

On my upcoming cruise on Allure I'm eating one dinner in main dining room.I find the food in the main dining room a step above cafeteria food. I don't understand that RC can't get the main dining food better. It is usually served cold and lacks flavor, maybe it's a cheaper grade of beef, fish and veal.

What time are they allowing suite passengers to board the Allure in Barcelona. I know not everybody is boarding in Barcelona, on other Oasis class chips in Florida they allowed you on around 11:00.

To Magic Man: there are plenty of cruisers that live in Florida and neither take cheap cruises nor deserve anything LESS than anyone else cruising whether in a suite or not.

I don't agree with you.

If you take lot's of 3 or 4 cruises in an inside cabin for $299 and build up allot points to become a D+, you don't deserve all the perks that somebody who is paying for a suite.

Everytime I sailed RC it has been in a Owner's Suite. They definitely added perks over the years.

I have had butler's on other lines in suites. I wish RC would add those.

They should also have different lines coming back on the ship after ports.

There are allot of D+ that take cheap cruised out of Florida don't deserve the same perks as somebody paying for a suite.

I have no problem paying the fine, I just don't want to get kicked off the ship.

I have a Owners Suite on deck 11 on a Oasis class ship.

I like smoking cigars late night on my balcony. I almost didnot sail RC because of this new rule.

You pay for the Owners Suite you deserve the best lounge they have.

Yes, the suite lounge is now in the Viking Crown area, deck 17 aft.

I sailed in 2013 on the Oasis of the Sea in an owners suite. I am sailing next month on the Allure in the same suite, did the lounge change for suite holders?

Just got off the Feeedom of the Sea.

The final table only had four people, we were playing for a cruise on the Oasis on December 7,2013 and an entry in the $100,000 poker tournment, second got $250 and third got $100.

The early round had enough rebuys and add ons at $50 each, the buy inwas $75
