Do you mind if I ask, on the last sea day, would I miss good scenery if I do a ship tour at 10:00 am, or is it in open ocean and/or areas that aren't a place you would sit and enjoy the view for long periods? I have always wanted to do the behind the scenes ship tour, but would prioritizing seeing more on this unique cruise.

Thanks for the fantastic and detailed report. We will be on the same cruise in August and this really helped me get excited for it. I also switched my Seattle hotel to the same one after seeing your good review and realizing the Marriott waterfront wasn't near the right pier anyways.

We are taking our first Celebrity cruise on the Edge in August. Can someone help me understand what areas of the ship will be off limits since we are staying in a regular concierge room? How are those areas market - with a sign or some other checkpoint? I assume it will be obvious to us once on the ship? On a side note - if our car service isn't picking us up on the day we disembark until 8:45, can we hang on the ship until then, or will the request that we leave at a certain time - when our group is called, for example? We will have our own luggage when getting off, since we only pack carry on.

Hello everyone. We are venturing away from Disney for the first time ever. Two adults. We sailed Disney for the Eastern Med last year and decided to try something new for the Western Med this time. Ship will be the Ascent. It will be early June 2024. Ports are Barcelona, Cannes, Florence/Pisa, Ajaccio, Cagliari, Valletta, Sicily, Naples, Rome. We have cruised to Sicily, Naples, Rome before, and are so excited to go back to those ports. 1) Is there any real advantage to port or starboard verandah room? 2) I am a bit hesitant about the infinity verandah. I tend to spend a lot of time out there while my wife is getting ready or relaxing indoors. I don't like the idea of essentially opening a window to the entire room, which can then not be airconditioned. What are other peoples experiences? 3) We are in concierge, but could switch to the sunset verandah in the back if we move out of concierge. How beneficial is concierges for this type of itinerary? How are the Sunset verandahs? 4) Is it true that dining is all anytime, even though the website asked us to pick a time and we picked 6? If so, should I switch to anytime so I can make dining reservations at specific times? We like to eat early. 5) Does anyone who has moved from Disney to Celebrity have any tips? Thanks!
