Our group loved this excursion. Beautiful scenery and the boat captains were fun. However, the boats are small and the water was choppy. Also you board the boats via a very narrow floating dock. Some people in our tour group found it difficult to balance.

Yoga class was offered several days on the Viking Sea. Room for 6 participants and I really liked the instructor

We have always tipped bartenders and bar servers at the end of the cruise. Have had outstanding service from all and we like to acknowledge those who we have had the most interaction with.

The Lobster in the DR
The ribsteak in Crown Grill
Creme Brulee
Guinness and beef pie in the IC - only available once or twice per cruise
I found the lobster tail to be awful. It came to the table grey in color, overcooked and way too salty. Crown grill meals were by far the best!

We are starting our Alaska cruise with a land tour. We fly into Anchorage and have arranged our own flights. I am trying to determine our options to get from the airport to the hotel in Anchorage that Princess has booked. Can we request a transfer through Princess even though we are arranging our own air? Any cost comparisons to that vs taxi or Uber?

We just completed a cruise in May and we had a group of 4 couples traveling together. We were not able to reserve specialty dining ahead of time for the group even though we were all in same PV level. We did make reservations for 2 parties of 4. Once onboard we talked to the restaurant reservations desk and found Viking is limiting restaurant seating to a maximum of 6 due to Covid. They did make a note to seat our groups next to each other both in the main restaurant and for our specialty dining reservations. They did have tables for 8 in the buffet

Testing everyday on ocean as of Med cruise that ended last week. Also very carefully looking at pre cruise test results and timing and if not done in right timeframe, embarkation was delayed as people were sent back outside for rapid test to be done

This is a strenuous cruise with a lot of time on your feet with uneven ground and stairs that aren’t uniform. I suggest that she train for this trip. If you want to go to the Acropolis in Athens, explore a private tour in order to use elevator which I heard of.
We had some people with mobility issues, tour’s don’t wait, The Americans with Disabilities Act doesn’t apply here.
We recently completed Empires of the Med and made the same tongue in cheek comment about ADA. Lots of walking and steps and standing for long periods of time. There were clearly folks on excursions with mobility issues who were unable to keep up. Some in our group were complaining of aches and pains after a few tours. Do not understand why Viking does not offer slower pace tours as they do on River. That being said, please be realistic about your capabilities as it is not good for you or your fellow travelers to attempt activities beyond your limits.

Another good reason to use a Travel agent and let them spend time on hold. We have Air Plus for our May cruise and TA reached out to us with Viking proposal for flights. We had voucher money to use and our TA was able to get flights changed to a carrier with better connections and upgrade our seats. We realize flight schedules may change but feel better that we have locked in preferred airline and seat upgrade

We are looking for options to spend vouchers on our twice postponed cruise. Looking at Viking options to extend in Italy, either Lake Como or Tuscany. Would appreciate input from anyone who has done either

We are also doing the Venice extension through Viking. What type of assistance does the on site Viking host provide? Help booking tours or water taxis? How was the Hilton hotel in Venice?
Tipping Extension Host

Have been on a couple of Viking extensions and 10 per day per person is about what we tipped if it was a fully guided extension. Adjust accordingly depending on how involved your host was in your daily activities
