My first cruise, I brought 12 pairs of shoes.  12.  I wised up and realized I didn’t need that many.  😅  My cruise packing checklist no longer has 12 spots for shoes.  I do however now bring 2 checked bags that each come in just under 70 lbs (which is hard to keep it under that) along with my rolling carry-on, backpack or tote and pocketbook.  ...and to think there are many items I no longer bring.  Film as an example.  Imagine all those necessary items from years ago that are no longer needed but getting packed now?   I would need 3 checked bags.  🤣

American Express Travelers Cheques as others mentioned.   I loved them!  It felt like a trip was about to start.  I actually tried getting them a few months ago for a trip but couldn't find a place.  They still do have them, the problem is finding a place to get them.

As for an item no longer on a packing checklist.  A travel alarm clock.  I have to say, I do use the wake up call though because sometimes on the ship, the time on my cell phone would be whacky but that issue seems to have gotten better/worked out over the years.

70 lbs for ea bag?  Baggage allowance is now 50 lbs.  Do you pay extra charges to get that allowance?

Found out, finally, we are going to Nassau instead of Grand Cayman. ☹️ Only place it's showing so far is on the app.  No email or other notification received from celebrity.

We are on March 28 sailing.  Still shows GC

Our March 27 W Caribbean Edge sailing includes Grand Cayman.

Right now on the Celebrity Excursions calendar, GC has been replaced with a Sea Day and the following day (a Sea Day) shows Bimini. Then we return to Florida. (Itinerary already includes Nassau.)

Cruise Timetable and Cruise Mapper show this same change - no idea what the source of this change would be, since the original itinerary still shows Grand Cayman.

Current GC exclusion ends 2/28 - hopefully on Tuesday the itinerary will become more clear.

How does one see the Excursions Calendar?

Why not use CVS or Walgreen's? I believe the test is free. Results in minutes. Seems to me with the ease of getting an appointment now due to the decline in people wanting a test, this is the way to go. What am I missing?

CVS is what we will be using.....

We just upgraded to the premium package for our 11 night March cruise by calling Celebrity.  We found that by upgrading now we took advantage of any discounts that were available pre cruise.  In this case, it cost us $10 per day per person plus they gave us $150 per person OBC  which for us was a good deal.  If we waited until after we got on the ship we would pay whatever the going rate was and no OBC.  As always, YMMV. ☺️

Wich cruise was this?  We are on the March 28 sailing......

$10 x 11 = $110 more.  So you paid $110 each and received $150 OBC each?  So Celebrity paid you $40 each to get Premium????  What am I missing here........

Starting next week N95 masks will be available free in the USA at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies associated with the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.  Most pharmacies including in supermarkets.   They are being released from the National Strategic Stockpile.
