Just curious as to why the need to bring your own water on board?

I like some very specific bottled water and I often find other water tastes funny and then I don't hydrate enough. If the on board water meets my fussy standard I'll just refill one, but I won't know that until I'm already there...

  2. I did have a look around before starting another thread, but I couldn't find a clear answer: taking bottled water on board, how much are we allowed?

Some places say 12 soft drink items, some say 1 bottle each. What I'd like to do is take a six pack each of our normal 750ml bottles we usually have in the back of the car, but I don't want to have them embarrassingly confiscated :-).

@Kastaka Did your question get answered before this thread went off the rails? You’re fine. Probably a jumper instead of a hoodie for warmth. None of the posters on this thread will be on your cruise. The fjords are amazing!

Yes, the quotes from the FAQ were useful :).

Kataska, if you are going on a Caribbean (or other warm weather cruise), you might want to buy an inexpensive sundress or 2. They are my go to and so easy to throw on with a pair of sandals. Also take up very little room in suitcase.

It's a Fjords cruise - I do own some dresses, just nothing suitable for colder weather :).

  5. I suspect absent some kind of miracle cure I wouldn't go anyway, as my lungs aren't the best and I shouldn't be taking risks; I'm just worried to cancel because other people have reported money being taken from them on cancellation.

Cruise is Northern Europe so some of the ports may well have reopened by then, but possibly not to UK people given we're somewhat behind...
