If there are "dangerous" conditions, I think Carnival would reschedule the muster for a different time or place or both. Enjoy your cruise.

I think they should cancel the muster during bad weather. And if its raining during a real emergency, they should cancel the evacuation too! [emoji48]

I thought ship was not allowed to leave port until muster was completed per USCG rules? So if they postpone or cancel, aren't you pretty much stuck at port?

Simply sharing my results in requesting refunds due to smoking policy change:

In June (Fathers Day Promo) I purchased a large amount of gift cards to pay the remaining balance on our Feb 2015 cruise. Now, with the smoking policy change, I no longer wish to cruise Carnival. Worried I would not get a refund on the gift cards as I knew when I purchased them, no refunds were allowed, I contacted Carnival. Explaining the reason (smoking policy change) I requested a full refund.

Today I received an email back from them, they are refunding the total spent on the gift cards :)

Next up is to cancel the booking, FTTF, and Bon Voyage purchases.

While I'm disappointed in the change Carnival has made, I'm happy they are refunding everything without penalties.

Moving on to land based vacations.

After months of reading about this and multiple threads; I finally get it :)

Now I'm ready to cash in on that statement credit after final payment

for our upcoming Feb 2015 cruise in November.

Receiving 1.5 cents per point instead of 1 cent per point.

Oustanding! We just moved to this repo cruise too! We were booked B2B on Freedom, then they changed us to Conquest, called PVP and he moved us right over, transferred our two deposits to the new booking and got us the exact balcony cabin we wanted. Easy Peasy !

I agree with you, cantw82cruise. We were booked on a B2B (1/18 & 1/24/15) on Freedom. I just got an email from CCL saying our bookings were being switched to Conquest.

 

At least Conquest has the 2.0 upgrades or we'd be really po'd. Can't live without Guy's Burgers.

 

By the way, we were on Miracle together a few years ago.

Were you offered OBC or the opportunity to cancel as they changed ships?

I read that for this program you don't get charged for debarkation day but can you still buy drinks with breakfast before you get off the boat?

Are you allowed to get to the maximum of 15 on that last day before you get off the ship?

Settle the discussion before you leave. Just be honest with him, tell him you are going to be drinking, on vacation, having fun! You want him to have fun too! Let him know in advance how you feel about being questioned and prefer not to be. He loves you and should respect that!

Okay seasoned CC members, I just booked my first ever B2B on the Carnival Splendor.

I will have different cabins and I have a couple of questions;

 

1. Will I have to get off the ship in NY after the first leg of the voyage?

2. Can I bring 2 bottles of wine aboard instead of 1 for the B2B?

3. If I buy booze for family members on first sailing can I give them their presents after the first leg, then buy more on the final leg of my trip?

3. Yes, booze purchased during 1st leg will be delivered to your cabin in the last night of the first leg, making it available to enjoy durig your second leg.

I can't get docs either, technical problem at Carnival, try again tomorrow...they won't fix it tonight, it is what we call a "low" level incident in the IT world. :)

When you have a room for 3 or 4, do they leave the pullman down and the couch made up as a bed during the day? Or do they put the couch back to being a couch for the day time?
