Well...unless someone changes the rules of safety on the sea, nothing's changing.  I doubt anyone will be changing the muster drill procedure any time.......in the next couple of years, at least.

I respectfully disagree.  I don't think the cruiselines or cdc for that matter , want everyone packed in all together at their muster stations. I think it will be rethought.

Where are these MAJOR cruise lines sailing from to get to Mexico?  Hopefully not a democratic run state like New York.  And will the cruise ships be allowed to return from a foreign country?  I know, sail out of New York and return to Florida.  Let the disembarking ports worry about the virus.

P.S.  Welcome to Cruise Critic.  Where have you been the last two months?  We need more optimism with the littlest information.  You are the messenger.   Re opening has nothing to do with the cruise lines.  The cruise lines will say yes to anything to get there business running again.  It is in the government hands

The cruise lines plans are to sail from the southern ports of the US. Nothing to do with politics.  Northern states got hit harder.

Wow, if anyone really believes that every single passenger will CALMLY walk to their muster station anywhere from 7 to 10 decks (down in the case of Haven suites) live in another universe. That’s the only reason I book balcony suites. I’ll take my chances with my balcony options instead of getting trampled to death on some stairway to my station. We always attend every single muster drill and witness how many guests are chatting or looking on their phone not paying attention. Does anyone think they know where to go?  I don’t think so but this is JMO.

I agree many do that. The seapass cards have the muster station number on them. So in the case where someone doesnt know where to go because they weren't paying attention , crew will let them know where to go.

I personally don't expect any changes because I don't think anyone is sailing until there is an effective vaccine.

River cruises already started in germany.  There is no time to wait for a vaccine that probably wont work.

    Bahamas is opening July 1

mexico has recently released statements saying they would open their ports and welcome tourists the same time.
the Virgin Islands opened June 1.
Jamaica has said they will open July 1

Many were thinking cruising wouldnt return this summer and that No ports would welcome them back.  They are in for a shock in the next few months.
