Thank you everyone.  I cancelled our flights with NCL and booked our own!

We have booked a cruise for October with NCL air.   We will travel the day of the cruise from West Palm Beach to NYC which is a 3 hour flight IF direct.  My worries are that we will not be on the earliest flight and a stopover booked.  Has anyone used NCL for this flight path?   Do they usually chose direct flights?  Are they conscientious in regard to getting you on the ship as early as possible?  All information is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

If we do decide to book ourselves how do I go about cancelling their flight?  I tried calling Flight Assistance in order to clarify these issues but the wait time was forever.  I would like to keep what we have booked with NCL to keep things simple but the airline mess is stressing me a bit😳. Again thank you!

If you do go to Longyearbyen please look at excursions to Pyramiden.  It is a1&1/2 hr boat trip north to an abandoned Soviet mining settlement.  It is a virtual ghost town as though people fled and left all behind.  Schools, musical instruments, apartments, equipped kitchens.   More than I can describe fully here.  Utterly amazing!  It is a beautifully preserved “community” and the residents loved their lives there.

I don’t know how to upload photos but I have so many.   We went in July and it was freezing!!

Reading the reviews of the Joy and it was stated that bottled water is not included in the package.  Is that accurate?   I have always had it included!  Please say it is not true 😞

Hello does anyone have knowledge of which deck or decks have the largest balconies on the aft facing cabins?  We always like to have loungers when sailing.  Thank you for any help you can provide.  Happy sailing!

We were on in July and our 12 year old played basketball, soccer and volleyball. It is a great space!

We were on MSC Meraviglia last month for 15 days on a Norwegian fjords cruise and loved the ship. We booked the thermal spa for the entire cruise and it was well worth it and included a massage and facial. We also booked the Trio Dinner package and thoroughly enjoyed Butcher's Cut and Eataly. I highly recommend them. I am not into sushi so I did not enjoy the sushi restaurant. The service in all 3 restaurants was very attentive and professional. The food in the dining room is standard cruise line fare. Some nights very good and some :(

The Meraviglia has a huge indoor sports center where my 12 year old played soccer, basketball and volleyball. This was great as it was extremely cold, windy and wet outside. There was available food and drinks right next to it and as we had the drinks package he was able to get smoothies, etc.

This was our 5th MSC cruise and our best yet! The shows and music venues are wonderful. We first sailed on MSC years ago on the Lirica (way before the redo) and have watched it grow into a first rate cruise line. We have sailed many times on many lines and there is no reason to worry about sailing MSC - it is one of our favorites if not THE favorite.

Thank you Riclop. When can you make these reservations - the same day or do you need to book in advance - or just wait and see if there are seats available? NCL does this and I never liked it - too much organizing instead of relaxing :(

We are a family of 3 who will be disembarking the Meraviglia in Hamburg on 7/19 and our flight doesn't leave until 6:30pm and I can't find transportation from the port to the airport with an included 1/2 day excursion. Sitting in the airport is not appealing either is taxiing to the airport, leaving our luggage in a locker, taxiing back to town and then back again - UGH! I have searched and searched and have come up empty :<( unless I want to spend $300 or more $$ which I do not.

Hi - I just read on posted Dailies for the Meraviglia Norway fjords cruise that reservations should be made for the shows. I have not seen this before on MSC. Is this the norm now fleet wide? We leave next week and this surprised me. Also we received as part of our booking perks entrance to the Cirque show on embarkation night. Reservations or first come first seated? Thank you for any info provided.

Thank you Dubbs - that is exactly what I wanted to hear as we have booked this for a 15 day cruise in Norway and definitely will want to use the thermal spa as we come from Florida!!

I have been unable to access my July fjords booking for over a week. Each time I log on I am brought to a December 2016 sailing. I have to log out and not sign in and just use my booking # to view my particulars! Aargh!:confused:

Hello we will be in Tomso, Norway on 7/9/18 and have a planned excursion. We are scheduled to dock @9:00 and have to meet our group in town @10:00 at the Scandic Ishavshotel. Does anyone know if there are:

1- available taxis at the port

2- does MSC provide a shuttle

3 - is MSC on time docking........

4 - Doable?

If anyone has sailed MSC in Norway any information you can provide would be much appreciated :)

Hi Travelanni it seems I need your help again. I purchased train tickets for travel from Warnemunde to Berlin for June 22. Do we need to change trains in Rostock or does it go directly to Berlin? Also I did not get seat tickets - do I need to? We are due to board our ship shortly and will not have wifi all the time. Is it easy to get a taxi in Berlin to go to our hotel? Thank you!

I left a necklace that my DIL made for me on a ship a couple of years ago and after immediately contacting NCL and giving a full description and following up a couple of times ..... they returned it to me! I hope this works out for your little guy. I always worry when my son takes his "Bobby" (a cat) with him. Please let us know when your monkey returns home :)
