Here is my La Dolce Vita from last week on the Discovery. I only had this one and I asked them to take off the marshmallows. It was very good and not as big as the photos seem. I didn’t know that the outside sprinkles and chocolate was just a decoration. 😩 I didn’t get the cake, but they looked great.

Looking at posts that people waited 15 minutes or more for a drink delivery or ont that never showed up it sounds like it would be faster to walk to a bar or in the buffet just ask a server to get one. On our last cruise the few times we ordered wine and beer from a server in the buffet they were delivered in less than 5 minutes
I liked it for ordering drinks at Super Bowl. It was a little slow but the place was packed. Fun day. 😊🏈

I found a key card on a cushion in the Piazza yesterday, so they do have them. I turned it into the waitress in that area.
Great Super Bowl, but I was bummed to find out that they did away with sports betting this year. I did well last year, and I was ready to bet on KC again. 😊🏈 -

You are off to a great start of your cruise. If Leo Rossi is on this week, he does a very interesting talk on his life in the rock 'n' roll business. We saw most of the shows that he talks about, so it brings back some good memories for me.
Have a fun day. 🙂

sorry for radio silence..got dirty in the casino..
dug myself A big hole ($3000) but battled back to only $1000 down..but my machine was hot so I gave it another $500 to make sure. SO many dealt trips that could have connected to be handpays (I was playing $15 a spin). So when the smoke cleared I’m down $1500 but earned 4000 points so far and the host gave me a comp for Catch on Monday…
lol even she asked me “I see Krista is in your room; for two right?” I said NOO she’s NOT ON THE SHIP! So only for one.
back in the room ordering some soup and salad from room service..
I also dunno if I’m going to be able to take this room location..it’s MOTION LIKE CRAZY! Like I will NEVER bid again to risk this.
Going to eat my soup and salad and watch equalizer 3 (been wanting to see it) and sleeeeeeep in tommorow!

Thanks for doing the live without your girl. I hope that you turned off Sentry to save your battery and don’t open your Tesla app until you get back. Have a great cruise and I hope you work things out. 😊

Thanks for doing this live and taking us along with you. I’m going next week for Super Bowl. You really lucked out with the weather today, and it looks like the rain will be over when you get back.
Have the best cruise ever. 😊

I am also seventeen days out. I have not heard anything yet. Did you get an email saying it was shipped.
Yes, I received the email Sunday with the tracking. I'm sure that you will get it soon.

I received mine today. Seventeen days before sailing. 😊

What are the dates for the eight day cruises on the Jubilee? I see eight days on the Dream, but only seven days on the Jubilee. Easy choice for me. New ship.

I left the Panorama 11/4/23 and received the survey 11/7/23. It's the same one that they usually send out. Check your spam folder.

I get a ringer no sauce plain. I like to taste the burger I also add cooked onions from the bar. I had six last week on the Panorama and this new menu wasn’t there. I would have tried the new ones.
I got on the scale today and I didn’t do too bad considering all of the cookies that I had. 😊 -
I was on the sailing that got back on Nov 4th. After we left Cabo we were doing 21.5 knots ave until we got to Huntington Beach, then we slowed to 10 knots ave. I thought it was just because we were so close to home. We also hit a lot of fog coming into Long Beach, which is pretty normal. It was a very smooth ride both ways, and was a great cruise. I hope they fix it fast.

Great job, thanks for taking the time to do this for us. 🙂

For clarification, you can bring hand baggage but they would not store luggage (except on the return). So if you're packing light you will be fine.
San Pedro has parking issues at various times as well. When we returned from a Holiday trip, they were directing traffic to an overflow lot as well (I have no idea). It didn't impact us but even if it did I wouldn't complain -- it's awesome to see the cruise ships back after most virtually abandoned the market for the 2010s. Although we're already seeing some declines. E.g. Princess pulled the Emerald next summer and moved it to the Northeast.
Yes I agree about San Pedro. I was on the second sailing of the Discovery. On the first sailing they parked her over at a pier a ways away so they bused the passengers because there isn’t much or any parking over there. I was dreading dealing with that but thankfully it was such a mess they let the Discovery hang out of 91 or the other one on the next sailing. She has been parking there ever since.
The photo of her in my profile shot I took from my balcony on the Navigator at six in the morning on my phone. I was still sleeping and could hardly see yet, but it is one of my better shots.
It is nice to see ships come back. San Diego is starting to open up a little also.

Unless things have changed: if you're traveling with luggage, they will not handle it except for the return. So you need to drop it off first.
I see, when I finally got on the bus for the Miracle quite a few people had luggage. I will just go to the terminal and hope to park or turn my luggage in. It will be easier now that I have the correct address for the Convention Center. My time is 10:30 so no worries. 😊
I have a February cruise on Discovery Princess where the parking is easy.
I’m really not much of a complainer but that last timed sucked. I’ve moved on and I’m ready for a fun Halloween cruise on the Panorama. 😊🎃

Two data points.
1. We sailed on the Panorama in June (Saturday departure) and the lot at the terminal was full. We got no advance notice, although they did give us a map to the Convention Center parking when we arrived at the terminal.
2. We sailed on the Radiance in October (Monday departure) and there were plenty of parking spaces in the terminal lot, so we parked there.
Thanks for in info.I guess that if there was a three or four day cruise before you, they filled the lot up. I might just go to the Convention Center first now for my Saturday 10/28 cruise. That last block getting in the terminal area was brutal for me with the entitled people cutting in from all sides.

They've been doing this for nearly a year, since the Miracle returned from dry dock last November. The Panorama and Radiance use the parking garage at the pier whereas the Miracle uses the Long Beach Convention Center. We've done the Miracle a few times and the pier garage was completely inaccessible. On the positive side, you save a few bucks on parking.
Until recently, you could find discounted parking at several hotels nearby the LBCC for about $100 less per week than the pier. Unfortunately, those prices have since ended.
Thanks so much for this info. I haven’t been keeping up with Carnival lately. I was last on The Panorama in 2020, then Princess and RCCL started having some very good prices so I have been cruising with them lately. I’m excited to go on the Panorama again.

I got an email from Carnival a few days ago. Our cruise leaves on the 14th. So not much notice.
Ok, thanks. I never did get one. I received plenty for excursions and packages though.
