This will be our first Eastern Caribbean cruise, and we have not been to any of these ports, so a lot of new adventures ahead.

We will be on the same cruise, SCMona - glad you asked, I wondered same. We did the early September cruise and they had to drain the pools 2nd day in, due to wind and it was chilly most days, but when in Ketchikan they had a full sunny day and boy was it warm. So lets hope for a few sunny days!!

I didn't notice one side more favorable on our trip. Our group has one on each side (5 upper), and a wrap around aft - so we should be good on all sides (last time we just moved back and forth between rooms for best views).
In Glacier Bay, lot of folks were up on top desks to get the full panorama, but the ship stops and then turns 360 so no bad views for sure.

Thanks all, we went with the aft Balcony on 8 - w/our friends next door in VS.

Wonder if anyone can give thoughts/opinions on the Suites vs Extended balconies.
Also, do you have preference which floor (7, 8 or 9) -
We are looking at December Mexico cruise, and need some feedback on which rooms would be best, and why :)
Thanks in advance.

Second the comments of zip lock bags, esp on last day after you brush your teeth, put your wet toothbrush in one to pack. Also can carry wet wash cloth in one on excursions if you need to wash up.
I also put all my bottled wet items in them (shampoo, sunscreen etc) which can save your other luggage/items in case of a spill / explosion.
Also taking a large envelope with cardboard for pictures you purchase - getting home with creased/bent photos you paid too much for is maddening.
More suggestion that packing item -
My friend took a small grease board/markers and wrote the day's itinerary on it, and then took a digital photograph of the board - it helped after the days started melding together to identify what was what / where was where as she went back through photos when she got home.

Great photos, Mary! I'd love to try a Greek Islands or other Mediterranean cruise cruise some day.
Thanks for the compliments Krazy and Barry - this thread is fantastic, so many great photographers! Makes me want to travel more and more!!

I have been told by a few different folks to limit your salt intake, caffeine and carbinated drinks because they all contribute to swelling - that combined with the sea air (which carries a lot of salt) can create swelling.
I know when I take long flights my feet/ankles swell up - i think it's a combination of sitting in one place for long time, and the cabin pressure.
I also have heard changing altitudes can cause some swelling/circulation issues -
Drink lots of water, and move about as much as possible. Try to keep in routine, and don't over eat/drink (all in moderation :) )

Is the latte's and coffees only for certain hours? I think I read the ice cream and pizza is 24 - are the drinks available for a good part of the time? My friend loves her coffees!

Found this older thread - but it's great to see what everyone is wearing for fomal nights.
Thanks everyone for sharing their dresses!

My sister's boyfriend (at the time) bought her a Gonzo when we were in Orlando the week leading up to our cruise - so Gonzo, of course, had to test out the ship (these pictures always make me smile). I combined them into a collage instead of all separate pictures, to show you all.

4 months to go! Planning a few days in NY, our first time there. So many things to do/see, and so little time 😄
Any recommendations?
