  1. I have searched high & low for my answer and cannot find the answer.  Will our eTickets show up on "My Account" under Bookings approximately 2-3 weeks prior to cruise OR will they be sent to our TA that handled the booking?

Thanks as always for your assistance!

    Pam

  2. I realize an itinerary will change regarding the "begin" time of an excursion, but what time do they generally begin in the morning on an international itinerary?  I also realize that on an excursion that will be lengthy (7 hours or more), they will need to begin early.  Mainly just referring to an excursion that will remain within the port.  Hope I have been clear in my question.  Thanks for your assistance!

  3. My husband and I are trying to find a Fast Track way of getting through security faster at the Frankfurt Airport.  Any information would be of great benefit!  Last time we were in this airport we missed our flight due to a two hour line.  Thanks for your help!

  4. We will be in Rome on the Crystal May 9 - 20, 2024 itinerary.  We are interested in any references for a 4-star hotel, or reasonably priced, that is centrally located to the major attractions in Rome.  Any assistance would be appreciated!  Regards, Pam.

Unfortunately, those are booked -- I wasn't able to tour one. I did, however, see the Solo Oceanview Guest Room, which is roughly identical to the Double Guest Room. I've put a photo of that in my Live From report: https://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/news/live-from-crystal-symphony-s-return-to-service

Thank you for taking the time to reply with great information!

I would recommend asking this when people are on board Symphony.

Serenity and Symphony Classic rooms are different. I love the classic on Serenity. It is has lovely features including makeup desk and another desk and lots of storage space.  I like it a lot more than Symphony where we go with a Classic Sapphire or where we loved the Sapphire which was created in 2017 whereas we didn't like the Sapphire on Serenity created in 2018 but think the new Sapphire looks great.

Anyway, I recommend getting some feedback after Symphony launches.

Great information and advice as always Keith!

Yes, we are on board at the moment, and enjoying our cruise. Some very brief first impressions, just a few days in.

Our 2018 refurbed Aquamarine Suite is looking great, modern spacious and comfortable with a lovely bathroom, shower only. Beds and linens are super. Our Butler  and stewardesses are super too.

Food so far good, and nicely presented, although our meals to date in Waterside were as good as last night’s Osteria. Not a great fan of the rather limited Italian menu or the over fussy presentation there, and won’t revisit on this cruise. Not tried Umi yet.

Staff mostly very pleasant and helpful, but service quite impersonal compared with our recent experience on Seabourn and other cruise lines where it felt warm, personal, and intuitive. Management mostly cool/distant and don’t interact much with us.

No one ever asks for a name, so one feels a bit anonymous. Many long-standing mature male senior and waiting staff, and surprised at how few female staff are employed in these positions.

Shuttle services provided when needed have been excellent.

Musicians and evening entertainment universally excellent, with plenty of options.

Just a word on the refurbishment, it is partial, not full. Some public rooms and staterooms are looking super smart, and some areas are much as we remember from many years ago. Palm Court and most dining venues looking great. Bistro very utilitarian. We would have been disappointed with a classic aquamarine stateroom, which are in the majority, particularly their very dated bathrooms, and cluttered furnishings. However, seen a couple of the brand new rooms which look really nice.

First impression is this is clearly a quality cruising experience, albeit on an older ship, which we are enjoying, but question whether it would be worth any price uplift over the smarter, newer, more stylish ships of Seabourn / Silversea etc

Would you kindly go into a little further what you saw with the Classic Aquamarine Suite such as cluttered furnishings and dated bathrooms. We have this category on Symphony reserved. Thanks for your help.

    Pam,

What we do know is the classic Aquamarine on Serenity) were not redone. I knew this before as we asked on a webinar that was held prior to the cruise but that was specific to Symphony.  No walls were moved, etc.

I am pretty sure that will be the case with Symphony. So assuming it is like Serenity then changes will not be made in terms or replacing furniture, changing design etc. Things that might be updated are soft items and that depends. If like Serenity it would be bed linen and cover, etc.

I have stayed in these rooms on Symphony but not in one with the wider verandah.  If just a normal PH then you don't have the solid bottom and if there is one just like other categories I've seen this with while solid you can easily see above it and that would not be a factor in my decision.

    Keith

Thanks so much Keith as this is exactly what I was trying to find.  I am so grateful for your kind assistance always!  Hope you and Anne Marie are having a fabulous time making memories alone and with special friends.  Pam

  9. Thanks to everyone who quickly replied to me.  As some of you are aware, there are two Aquamarine Veranda suites 1) Classic and 2) Redesigned 2017.  We have seen the photos of both on the Website.  We are interested in the Classic on Deck 10; the only deck the Classic is located.  We are attempting to find out if the Classic suites have been refurbished regarding carpeting, draperies, furniture upholstered, etc. and if so when.

    Again, I appreciate everyone's help!

    Pam

  10. We are trying to find out if the above suites have been refurbished any any way; such as new carpeting, draperies, new upholstery etc.  Also trying to see from the floor layout where the beverage center is located.  One last question please; is the bottom part of the balcony railing solid?  I would appreciate any assistance.  Regards Pam

  11. What is the process being used for the NC like the old PCPC where you put in all of your information and where you reserve excursions and specialty restaurants?  When can you complete the personal information and when are you able to reserve excursions and specialty restaurants? Thanks for your assistance.

  12. When not taking advantage of the Silversea Air Promotional Package, on Door to Door, is the air credit amount shown on the Website for a particular cruise the total amount per ticket or is it the each way amount per ticket?

    Thanks for your assistance!

    Regards,

    Pam

  13. Good afternoon,

We are first time Silversea passengers.  We know there are "included" excursions but when does Silversea show the cost of a "non-included" excursion?

How do you pay for these "non-included" excursions?

Thanks so much for your assistance!

    Pam
