Yes, it has a free sauna in the men’s locker room. The steam room, though, is in the spa area, is co-Ed, and is not free. My last time on QE was in early 2023 and I’m heading off again in a few weeks.
Are you on the QE Barcelona to Fremantle voyage?

I inadvertently messed up the database, can someone please post it again? Does anyone know whether the Queen Elizabeth still has a free steam or sauna? Coed?

Chad - I wouldn't call it anti-social at all. Lots of people need that chill time alone - especially on a full ship. The least busy time is probably 10 am to 2 pm - and port days are good because most guests are off the ship. Most who post on this thread DO enjoy the interaction during the busier times.
In your experience what are the busiest hours? Most of the time I would prefer a bit of social interaction, etc. Thanks

Definitely no shorts here either. Has anyone been on HAL Noordam lately? There used to be a very cozy (tiny) sauna but I don’t see it in the database and it’s difficult to tell from the deck plans whether it’s still there. Going in October fingers crossed.

Yes, I recall that it does, but, I have not used it. It's located along the corridor from the Greenhouse Spa to the mid-ship's pool as I recall.
If others' memories are better than mine: please post!
Oops, intended to respond directly to your post! Thank you, still trying to get the hang of this board.

Thanks for that info. I truly enjoy a nice hot sauna when traveling to colder climates. Thinking of doing an Antarctica trip next year.

Does anyone know if the Volendam has a free sauna?

Edhug - did you do your Noordam cruise from Australia?
No, that was an Alaska trip from Vancouver. I actually spend most of my time in Fort Lauderdale but thankfully have been here in Australia for the past year.
Have you heard whether HAL is going to make vaccines mandatory? I won’t be going on a ship unless everyone is vaccinated. Wanting to do Antarctica early next year. -

I like the windows concept - nice to see the sunset at night, or the sun shining in in the middle of the afternoon.
That was a very pleasant surprise. I am a little late to the party of enjoying a sauna on cruises and up to experiencing the fantastic one on the Koningsdam I believe the only other ship that I tried the sauna was on the Noordam which had a very small one, again down the hall from the changing room. I do like the ones that have the sauna right in the changing room such as the Rotterdam but then you forfeit the window. Sure hope to be able to go on another cruise someday soon.

There are lockers in the changing room and bath robes to use to walk to the sauna which is down the hallway a little way. A somewhat awkward setup but worth the effort.

- I have to agree that the sauna on the Koningsdam is terrific. Not much excitement but it has a huge window looking out to the sea. Although the sauna that you were packed in like very happy sardines sounds like fun.
