    Would you actually do that?🤔

There are "grown-up" coloring books available. If I'm having a drink at the bar and working on a picture, how is that different from someone else sitting at the bar with a drink and having a conversation with someone for the same amount of time?

(I do agree that the kids in question didn't need to be sitting at the bar. But I guess the attitude of a person can only sit there if they are drinking alcohol just pushed me to respond.)

Sorry. I don't agree. I think it is abhorable that kids are taking up seats at a bar coloring with crayons when adults may want those seats to order cocktails sit at the bar.

What if I order a cocktail and sit at the bar with a coloring book? Is that also "abhorable", or acceptable because I'm ordering alcohol?

  3. Hi! We currently have a reservation for Ovation in April 2024 from Honolulu-Vancouver. Is it probably safe to assume that there will be itinerary changes due to the fact that we're scheduled for two days in Lahaina?

We've already pretty much decided to cancel this cruise and switch to a different location for 2025. Since we have a nonrefundable deposit, I think there's a $100 per person charge to do that. Should I wait until as close as possible to the final payment date in January to see what changes or refunds Royal might offer before making the call to cancel and switch to a different cruise?

Thanks for any insights you can offer.

  4. We stayed in an ocean view cabin (3548) on our Adventure cruise last fall. It had a nice large window, and we didn't hear much from the cabins on either side of us. We were very close to the theater at the front of the ship, though, and could occasionally hear parts of the shows. We also got a LOT of motion in rough seas being that far forward.

I would stay in an ocean view again, although more midship or aft.

I’m going to play this game tonight. I mean it involves beer, pretzels, Heidi and a catchy tune.

    Sie sieht doch gut aus.

I won about 80 free games on this game in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. Everytime I sing the first line of the song that was playing the whole time, my husband covers his ears and shakes his head 😆

  6. So, we finally decided to book our Hawaii Vancouver  cruise! We settled on Ovation of the Seas, leaving Honolulu on April 30. We're planning to fly to Honolulu a couple of days before to go see Pearl Harbor and a few other places.

    A couple of questions:

    1. The ship is scheduled to leave Honolulu at 9 p.m. Does that mean boarding starts later, or does it happen at the usual times and we can go about normal first-day stuff onboard until it departs?

    2. Is the solarium bistro only open to adults? It seems to be in the adults-only section.

    3. We booked an "obstructed view" balcony, 7626. Anyone have anything to share about this cabin or others in the area around it?

Thanks in advance! We're excited about it even though it's still over a year away!

  7. Hello. We are looking at a 10-day cruise in April 2024 from Hawaii to Vancouver on Quantum of the Seas. While looking at the deck plans, I noticed that there appears to be four main dining rooms. Is that correct? If I chose the later fixed time seating, does that impact which room we'd be in?

I'd also like to verify that the solarium will be open for all adult guests. The ship page on the Royal Caribbean site says that it is closed except to specific groups on China sailings, so I'd like to make sure this is accurate.

The itinerary states the the ship will arrive in Vancouver at 3 a.m. Is that normal for this type of cruise?

    Thanks for your help!

  8. Hi! My husband and I are looking at a Vancouver to Hawaii cruise in September 2024 on Brilliance of the Seas. A couple of questions:

    1. Is there a place like Cafe Promenade on this ship?

    2. We would like to stay in Honolulu an extra day and see Pearl Harbor. Does Royal Caribbean offer any post-cruise excursions, or is this something to plan on our own?

    Thanks!

  9. So excited to board Adventure tomorrow! Just one question: with the refreshment package, I can get a drink from a bar without alcohol that isn't on the "mocktail" menu, correct? For example, a virgin pina colada, virgin daiquiri, etc. would be included for no extra charge?

Thanks so much! Everything's been printed and packed, and we both have negative Covid tests. 😀

  10. I will be on Adventure of the Seas in a couple of weeks. One of our stops is in Portland, Maine. We already have a lighthouse tour booked through the ship, starting at 8:45 and supposed to last for a couple of hours.

I see that there is an excursion being offered to go to LL Bean for shopping, leaving at 12:30. If I decide to do this as well, is there a pretty good chance I'll be back from the first tour in time? Anyone ever done something like this before?

    Thanks!
