We are also on that cruise! There are 6 of us and we are on deck 8. 3 couples all celebrating anniversaries.  

We are on the same whale watching excursion in Juneau!

We are doing zip lining in Ketchikan, we rented 2 Jeeps in Skagway, a hiking tour in Icy Strait, cultural tour in Sitka and a Winery and Distillery tour in Victoria

We sail on the 9th 😁😁😁

Has anyone done the zip lining excursion in ketchikan? We have done two different ones in juneau but not here. Looking for any feedback.

If you want a great experience in Ketchikan I highly recommend Michelle at Island Wings. One of the best experiences we have had in 5 trips to Alaska

I am looking for options other than sushi and seafood. I would like to find something around $20 to $25 per person for entrees. Nothing fancy, just good food in a clean and friendly environment.

We won't have a vehicle but the hotel shuttle will take us within a 3 km range of the hotel.

Cambia st is where we are staying.

I did a search and the restaurants that came up were either seafood or sushi (which we don't eat). We are looking for a moderate priced restaurant with good food. 

As far as what to see, possibly any parks or museums close by. We won't be going downtown just because of time. Our flight gets in about 1 pm so by the time we get to the hotel we won't have a ton of time. Just something interesting or fun close to the airport

Can you do the EZ check on Southwest Airlines when docking in San Pedro? I have read a couple of different responses and I am hoping to find out from someone that has had an experience with it. Thanks

I just booked a R/T Seattle for myself and my son (age 6) sailing next June. What are the best excursions that you recommend in Skagway? He loves trains, so I think a train ride is a must do, but which one, or how long, take motor coach back or not..these are all things that I have no clue about. Actually, I don't have much of a clue about Alaska period.lol

 

In Juneau we will be doing a helicopter to Mendenhall Glacier and dog sledding there. Will we have time for anything else while in port?

We have done the train in Skagway and loved it. Our original tour was cancelled and it was the only thing we could get so we were a little leery, but it turned out to be a great excursion. We have also done the Jeep tour and went out to Caribou Cross and Emerald lake. That was wonderful! We got to see some beautiful scenery. We have also done the LiArsville tour. It was fun, but not something I would do again. On our last trip we did the Jewel Gardens glass blowing trip. That was fun, but we were. Little disappointed we didn't have any time to explore the gardens by the time everyone finished their glass piece.

In Juneau we did the zip lining and it was great! You would have to check the time schedule, but I don't know if you would have time to do 2 excursions. On the trip we did zip lining, we did have time to also do the dog sled camp, but we had a long day in Juneau.

Last year we also cruised to Alaska and booked the Takshanuk Mountain 4x4 excursion while in Skagway and that was fantastic.

We are a group of four couples going on this cruise too! We are all getting together this weekend to talk about shore excursions so we have an idea of who is interested in certain types of excursions. This will be our fifth trip. We love it so much and can't wait to go back. This is our first trip to Alaska on the Ruby, but it will be our third on princess. We were lucky to get the sip and sail promo. Please let me know if you have any specific questions. There is a roll call started for this trip, so feel free to check tha out as well :):):):)

Our TA said that Princess decides which restaurant and which night you have a reservation. im curious to find out if we get a choice

Now I am worried. We booked dolphin deck becUse princess told me the balconies were partially covered. I just went out to princess to check out the emerald deck, and it shows every category on our voyage as SOLD OUT! I wonder what that means......
