Always cash. Bring it with you.
Don't forget:
NCL: Certain staff positions (e.g., concierge, butler, youth program staff and beverage service) provide service on an individual basis to only some guests and do not benefit from the overall service charge. We encourage those Guests to acknowledge good service from these staff members with appropriate gratuities.
Yes, Want top be prepared. just don't like to travel with a wallet full of bills....Wanted to know all of our options

Can I get cash onboard the ship for butler gratuities?
-
Haven Butler gratuities question. Do you tip with cash? Do you travel with cash or get it onboard or use the onboard account? This is our first time as Haven guests and have not had to worry about this in the past....I do not like the idea of traveling with a large amount of cash in our pockets...

Has anyone done the Day-day Normandy excursion out of Le Herve on NCL? If so how was the experience? Would you recommend it?

On your average overbooked 2024 cruise - how many folks will be competing for those 8 bar stools in the Haven bar?
Put a more generalized way - how many guests are generally in the Haven on any particular cruise - [-I know I know, it differs from cruise to cruise, YMMV, may have more or fewer kids etc etc etc]
Are you booked in the Haven? DH & I are sailing on the Prima in the Haven at the end of the month. I will report back later...

Any type of refillable water bottle. We tend to not take our best ones because we have a bad habit of leaving them behind for some reason. So will bring the cheapo ones hubby gets for free at work, or ones that are a bit rattier and we wouldn't mind leaving behind in the trash when done with it. Depending on the trip though we bring the good one if we know we'll be out for long hours on excursions as it will stay cold all day.
The nice one we have is a Hydro Cell - $20 on Amazon, so not even that nice in the grand scheme of overpriced fancy water bottles these days. Keeps cold stuff cold for hours without sweating and comes in lots of pretty colors.
Thank you. I am like you all, do not want to take the Yeti or the Stanley containers.....

What type of "Jug" do you use? We are trying to decide of what kind to take with us on our TA on the Prima in 2 weeks.

Thank you all. This is our first cruise in the Haven.

I just spoke with NCL Haven concierge and was told that H6 category does not get us free water or free booze in our 2 bedroom family villa on the Prima.

How are gratuities figured for people sailing in the Haven? I know the alcohol beverages gratuity
will be added and the speciality restaurants. If we dining in the MDR on select days, gratuity will be added. I understand that the butler & concierge gratuities are our own responsibilities...Just want to be prepared.

I am sailing in the Haven at the end of the month. I am going to have the butler bring in 2 pictures of ice water in the mornings and drink in it while in the cabin....

Thank you. Great review

Never say never. It never hurts to ask. NCL is taking good care of us!

This was just a thought that I had, not a must change. Just thought that I would put it out there before I got my hopes up. No biggie if we can't. We will still have a wonderful cruise......

Final payment has been made 2 days ago-is there a possibility that I change change to another date/ship with a $2k higher priced cruise without occuring a huge penalty? Has anyone ever been successful at this? Or am I out of luck? I do have insurance but not really wanting to cancel the cruise

I booked a cruise for June 2024 and was able to add airfare to my booking....

The DD and SIL & In Laws are going with us to Alaskan cruise. Any thoughts for a fun, affordable Bon Voyage gift idea?

I should have specified departing from Seattle. Thank you all for your replies. This is our first cruise in about 10 years. So excited. Can not wait to walk the gang plank to board ship. However, I will say that I will miss that "Ding" when we had to insert our room card...... Happy Sailing to you all!

Are the assigned boarding time enforced? Ours shows a 12:30 boarding time. If we get there an hour early will be be allowed to board? We always try to be on board as early as possible.

You can also look at the large Travel Booking online companies. So many offer the Bev pkg and or paid gratuities when booking with them....
