The walls in both my concierge class veranda cabin and my interior cabins on Millie have been magnetic. Some of the trim around the mirror/desk area is not.

Exactly what I needed to move up a level!

Perhaps the phone works if it's been revolutionized, which COULD include the Millie, Summit, Silly and (the halfway revolutionized) Equinox
You can use your phone on Millie.

Inside cabins aren't for everyone. Some new ships have outside views or you can keep your TV on to show the outside.
While tthey work for some- it doesn't work for us. We enjoy a balcony and fresh air . Especially to enjoy a cup of coffee or breakfast on the balcony.
When I get an inside cabin, I usually leave the TV on the navigation channel so I can see the bridge view - it helps me feel more connected to the outside world.

I've done this tour twice, and I'm sure that long pants are more appropriate in the galley/food prep areas that you walk through, but you are also on the bridge with the officers too. Non-slip shoes are important for the crew areas - the flooring can get slippery. I think capris would be fine - I imagine they are just trying to avoid shorts, especially short shorts, and swimwear.

Did you see her other threads on ArriveCAN?
I just did ArriveCAN for my cruise on Friday. Took minutes, uploaded the receipt to United, done. Simple. I can't imagine limiting your vacation choices for such a reason.

Just a reminder that not all challenges to walking and/or going up and down stairs are visible...
My vestibular disease is not at all visible, but it makes stairs tough. Thank you for saying this.

This is one of those rare cases where I would prefer to pay by the gigabyte rather than a fixed daily rate. I don't use the internet much when I'm cruising, but when I do I'm frustrated by how slow or unavailable it is. I'd gladly pay for the bandwidth I actually use.
Me too.

Even without the single supplement waiver, I've found incredible single rates by just searching online on travel sites that allow you to search for 1 passenger. Then I looked on a TA website and found even steeper drops for the cruises I looked at, for Apex and Solstice. Solstice has some amazing rates for solo passengers from October-April, if you search frequently and catch sales, so I booked 4 with a solo inside for $200-300 each, two of them with all-included. That's also how I did my first Celebrity cruise on Solstice this month, looking for a last-minute Alaska cruise and seeing no-supplement rates so me and my niece could have an affordable solo cabin. I never really looked at Celebrity before, since as a solo passenger I never saw competitive rates for Mexico and Alaska, but now that they offer solo deals and a no-perks option, I'm happy to branch out now from Princess and HAL.
I'm sailing to Alaska in 2 weeks on an incredible deal - concierge veranda in my ideal location cheaper than any other nonsuite category.
You just have to look in the right places and/or have a great TA.

Better still bring one of them with you. Hold an auction, whoever bids the most gets to cruise.😂😀
Whenever I'm at my local library, it seems there are always people there getting tech help from the staff. Maybe this person's library has something like that. They obviously need help.

If you have a cruise booked on Millie, you can pull it up in the app.
From the app-
Soups and starters - chicken noodle soup, soup of the day, chicken skewers with yogurt sauce
Salads - caesar, mixed green
Entrees - Celebrity hamburger, penne primavera, seared salmon w/vegetables, turkey club sandwich
Desserts - dark chocolate ganache cake w/caramel sauce, cheesecake w/blueberry sauce, assorted cookies & milk, warm or cold
Lots of beverages

Do we have to print the xpress pass...or just having on the phone okay?
I have not printed anything in multiple cruises since the restart. Phone works.

We are boarding the Solstice on Sep 16. Checkin opened about 45 days before but we still cannot select an arrival time.
I am on Millenium boarding Sept 16 and I was able to pick my arrival time at 45 days. 🤔

I also found the clear luggage tag holders on Etsy.

No, passports are not required. Birth certificates will suffice.
And I don't blame you for not wanting to get them. We just had to get our kids passports (going to Europe) and it was an ordeal. Both parents have to go to the passport appointment and you have to send off the original birth certificate. I started looking March 1st for our late July trip and was scared we weren't going to get them in time. (Who would have thought 5 months would have been cutting it close? When I applied and renewed in the past, it was weeks not months) I couldn't find an appointment on line at all and started even calling around. Many places were booked up for appointment 4 months out and not even taking any more reservations! Another place said they were booked to 2023!!! Finally got one by watching the website and getting a cancellation. Another friend had to drive 2 hours away to get an appointment. We ended up paying for the express (which made 2 passports over $400) because I was worried we weren't going to get them in time. And they are only good for 5 years. We did get the passports, but it was incredibly time consuming and stressful. Getting a kid's passport is MUCH more involved than getting an adult one.
Which is why I think people should take the time to get one, because you never know what could happen. And I was able to get my child's passport without his father being there, there is a statement of consent you can get notorized and take in.

I got to do one on Millennium this month and it was truly one of the highlights of my cruise. If you get a chance, definitely do it.
I also sailed on Millennium last October and it wasn't offered on that sailing.

I don't wear a lanyard on cruises because I have to wear one at work, and the whole point of cruising is to get away from work.
I always carry a bag around with my water bottle, Kindle, sewing project, etc and attach the SeaPass to that.

We have proctored tests and an appointment at Schiopol airport as our backup. It was very easy to make an appointment on the website prior to departure. We can cancel up to one hour before testing time, so if our proctored tests work, we will cancel the airport tests. Not sure if we will try ship upgraded Wi-Fi or get up very early in Amsterdam and use international lte.
Make sure you check your international plan. The one I have only allots 50MB for international streaming per day (??) which isn't enough to do a ~20 minute proctored test. I wish I had looked into that a little more before leaving. But Vancouver has excellent public wifi coverage, so I got it done just fine.

I was on Millie on the San Diego to Vancouver sailing. I did not see any significant changes that I could attibute to Covid.
Millie was not 100% capacity - we were told 1611 on board. It seemed a little higher than my sailing in October, especially breakfast in Oceanview Cafe. That seemed much busier.
~20-25% of passengers masked voluntarily. We were never asked to mask. I did not mask, but I spent a lot of time outside or socially distanced. I didn't go to shows or bars at night. I ate outside for breakfast no matter the temperature (it was cold!)
We have absolutely no idea what Covid will be like in August. Travel insurance is a good idea for anyone cruising right now.

Whoa, you are cutting things way too close, imho, without doing a proctored test on board.
what is your plan B?
The US requires the test to be done within 1 day of boarding your flight back. So in some respects, you do have to cut it close. But I think choosing an 11AM flight is risky in the era of Covid testing.
I did the eMed testing in Canada after my cruise and it was very fast. But I wasn't able to do it onboard because the basic wifi was not adequate at all. I think if I was locked into this flight, I would opt for airport testing.

I am so excited to follow along, and even more excited that I will be on board with you next week!
