  1. We just disembarked from a 16 night cruise on Grandeur.  Our stewardess, upon day one introduction, advised us that laundry out before 9am would be returned same evening; out after 9am would be returned the following day.
I set the bag out before 9am three times during our cruise and each time it was in our suite at turndown that same day.
    Absolutely marvelous service!

  2. Gosh, thanks for letting me know.  When I went on RSSC.com this afternoon, it showed no classes scheduled.

My mistake!  It read No Class Selected because I didn’t look at the  drop down menu.  Hopefully, no odors will find their way to our suite.

We were on deck 14 of Splendor (same class of ship) and had no problems with movement.

However, we did meet a guest on Explorer who was troubled by noise from the Culinary Kitchen immediately below suite #1215

I saw that on the “Sticky” for Splendor.  There haven’t been any culinary classes scheduled for this cruise, so hopefully our suite will stay quiet.
    Thank you

Close to 2 years ago, we stayed in 1201 on Splendor, and felt motion and vibration quite often, especially at night while the ship was moving. Being a little farther back from the front as you will be in 1215, you may not experience the motion and vibration that we did. Good luck and have a great cruise.

Hi Gpilon,  thanks for the info.  Off to purchase Bonine for my husband.  We both can’t wait for this cruise!

  5. We were booked on the cancelled Mariner May 19th cruise, then waitlisted on the March 25th Grandeur MIA/NYC, which luckily cleared for a GTY concierge suite.  As of this morning we have been assigned Suite 1215.  I've looked at the sticky Suite Guru but there aren't any reviews.  We usually go for lower, midship as my husband experiences  motion/sea sickness.  I'm fine under almost any circumstances.

Anyone have comments about this suite?

We did Mariner on Dec. 2 and Grandeur on Jan. 8.  We love Mariner (our first cruise on her was 44 nights in 2018) but Grandeur is spectacular!!!  I hope you clear the waitlist!  You won't be disappointed!!!

We did clear the waitlist!  Sailing March 25!

I am not sure what category of suite you are seeking, but there is availability of F1 and concierge suites on this sailing

Hi NYC-London,  thank you for letting me know.  I found out late yesterday that we cleared to waitlist and are now confirmed!

Mariner was our first Regent cruise so we have a soft spot for her.  We've sailed Voyager, Navigator, and Explorer (loved Explorer).  I'm scrambling to put the new dates in order in hopes that our waitlist clears.  I think sailing on the Grandeur will be off the charts!!

They're giving them a discount (I believe 30%) on 3 specific cruises OR 100% refund!  Why do they need FCC when they get 100% refund?  There are NO "restrictive limitations" since they can get 100% refund.  "The entire inventory of cruises" IS available since they get a 100% refund.  Not actually sure what the problem is.  Take the 100% refund and book whatever cruise desired, or take the 30% discount on the offered cruises.  Remember, it's not like Regent asked the Houthi to shoot missiles at ships in the Red Sea.

PapaFlamingo,  I agree with you!  I'm very disappointed in the cancelled cruise but understand why the ship is being rerouted.  I'm satisfied with the 100% refund.  As for the 30% discount on the three offered cruises, none of them interest us.  Even though we love Transoceanic cruises, lying to Lisbon to pick up the ship isn't something we want to do at this time.

We put ourselves on a waitlist for a much earlier cruise of the same itinerary; March 25th, on the glamorous  Grandeur.

In $5,000,000 worth of bookings, I have never had Regent admit what position a person is on the WL. Only 1 person runs the list and they will not discuss it. This news is very interesting - perhaps policy has changed.

I appreciate your insight. I’m keeping my fingers crossed but also realistic about not clearing the waitlist.

  11. My husband and I were booked on this as well.  Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.   We are so very disappointed.  Mariner will be sailing Lisbon to NYC, May 21 - June 2 instead.  We love transoceanic cruising but don't know if we want to fly all the way to Portugal.

    Boohoo!

There were actually five soaps.  I do believe Hermes and L’Occitane were two others, and there were another two, one of which was a throw away.  I did love the presentation and the stewardess was in your suite within minutes of when you arrived. But that was on the little sisters.  Remember, too, that we had Frette sheets?  Ah, yes, those were the days.  But I do still love Seabourn because the one constant is the crew/staff and service.

I believe you are correct in the number of soaps.    Yes, Frette sheets!

    And canapés hand delivered.

Some might remember the Baudelaire exfoliating soap that was offered years ago.  If anyone is interested, it’s available on Amazon (but of course, isn’t everything available on Amazon?):

Ah, the good old days.  I remember three different soaps being brought to the suite in a wicker basket.  Hermes was one and possibly L’Occitaine the other?

I purchase boxes of Baudelaire from Amazon and give a little gifts.  It’s a wonderful soap!
