I’ll finally be redeeming my fun points for my next cruise. I’m seeing with 25k points I can get either $200 onboard credit or $250 bar cash. We always buy cheers in advance but my question is, can I use the bar cash to buy cheers once on the ship? I loose the 10% discount from pre purchasing but still feel like I’d be getting more bang for my buck. Annoying the redemption rate isn’t the same for obc vs bar cash. 🙄

    Thanks!

You could buy Cheers ahead of time using your Carnival Credit card.  Once it has posted in your credit card account you then can use your 25,000 points towards a statement credit of 250.00 towards yours Cheers purchase. Does that make sense? I hope it doesn't come across as confusing.

  2. This is what is on Carnival's website today. Gratuities are not mentioned as included anymore. I'm sure that some servers are not receiving their full gratuities as some are thinking the gratuities are still included. I clearly read this as the gratuities are not included but are optional.

*Please note: Requested dates and times will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Dress Code is Cruise Elegant. Dress jeans are allowed on Cruise Casual evenings. The fee includes an appetizer, entree, dessert. Gratuities are optional and may be extended in cash or to the guest's Sail & Sign Account, at the guest's discretion. The reservation fee does not include any beverage that is normally ordered through the bar service such as wine, liquor, soda and bottled water. All dining rooms are smoke-free. Please allow 1 to 1 1/2 hours for dining experience.

  3. This is a response I received from Advance Check -in when I asked if I could store my luggage with out the airport transfer that they also will provide if you want. I'm not comfortable with them taking my luggage to the airport but was looking for somewhere to store it while we did some sightseeing before we head to the airport.

    Hello Sherrie,

It would be my pleasure to assist you. We do offer onsite storage at the terminal, the price is $25 for up to 4 bags. I just want to let you know of an anniversary sale going on. If you wanted to transfer your luggage, the price, on site at the terminal, is $15/ bag and every 4th bag is free. Guest can store up to 4:00pm on site. We are located at the Carnival terminal. There is a large sign that reads Store Luggage Here.

    Thank you,

    Joshua Bowman

  4. I am an early riser. Beautiful Bride, not so much. On vacations, I typically get up early and bring coffee back to hotel room or cabins. As we will have Cheers this time, and both of us will participate, will they allow me to take her S&S to the Coffee Bar and get each of us a coffee or will I need to get mine, sit for 5 minutes and order another. Either is fine but getting both would be more convenient.

My husband was able to get coffee using both of our cards on the Inspiration with no problem. :)

  5. My power strip was taken away last week on the Miracle. It was just a basic power strip that had no surge protection but the Guest Services said it was lacking a circuit breaker which made is prohibited. Being still confused about what was acceptable or not acceptable I took a picture of the one they lent me. I was able to find it on Amazon. Although expensive I will now have a sense of relief that mine won't be taken away on our next cruise.

  6. Just off the Miracle yesterday. My power strip was taken by my cabin steward. I was confused by this as my power strip didn't have surge protection. I thought I was complying to their policy but when I asked the guest services I was told that mine didn't have a circuit breaker therefore not safe to use onboard. They let me borrow one of theirs so I took a picture of it and found it on Amazon. It isn't cheap but to follow their policy this is what is acceptable.

  7. Hello All!

Me and my DH will be cruising in Feb on the Miracle and just called in to change our room to 4149-Obstructed view with french doors. Any info on this room? Hopefully i made a good change :)

Stateroom 4149 is between two life boats. I am surprised it was available this close to sailing. Yes, I know it is almost three months but if you tried to book that stateroom for an Alaska cruise it would have been gone a year prior to sailing. enjoy your cruise.

An answer to your luck...I originally had that cabin (4149) sailing on the Miracle Feb. 20th. I changed my cruise date to April 2 last Thursday therefore freeing up that sought after cabin. I wasn't lucky enough to get that cabin for my new booking but we did get 4115 which is also between the lifeboats. Enjoy cabin 4149 and have a great cruise! :)

  8. Would you guys purchase either if your room has not been assigned?

I know it's possible not to get a room assignment until check in so I'm wondering if I should skip ordering anything unless I get my room assigned before the day we embark.

Is their sophisticated enough to match my order with the room once its assigned or will my order and luggage get lost in the shuffle.

Your order is attached to your booking number not your cabin number. I have ordered before a cabin was assigned and my Bon Voyage order arrived just fine. :)

  9. I've saw pictures of 5230 on a website that includes actual pictures of the cabins that people have submitted. Not sure if I can mention the site on here or not but it is cruiselinerooms dot com. Look under the Carnival Pride and then look for 5230. It looks like some of the balcony is between the lifeboats. :)

  11. Thanks for the heads up! I just ordered one for tomorrow's sailing!

I have purchased this once before. The towels aren't the same as the ones they leave in the cabin but they are nice. We needed a few more towels so this is a good deal with the cruise bar credit and photo credit. The last time I purchased the item it was 96.00 so it looks like it is 20.00 off.

    Thanks again jp30338! :)
