  1. Cruising in Celebrity in March 25 and planning of staying about 3/4 days in Tokyo before. Any suggestions of hotels to stay at. Middle of the road hotel would be great.

Sure they do.   Good will.   Seems sort of obvious.

It was testing positive for Covid on cruise tour portion. If they gave me nothing back I could have claimed on my insurance but because they have a credit that I cannot use in time I’m out money. Great way to treat a loyal customer and shareholder. I’ve booked 2025 Celebrity Japan cruise.

You SHOULD get a refund in FCCs minus the insurance premium if you Cancel for Any Reason.  We just went through this and it took way longer than it should have.   They will tell you 2-4 weeks but we waited 3 months!!  Just got ours refunded today.

    Thanks

It also depends on when your FCC expires; it may/may not be extended...

If the fcc is close to expiration how can they expect to keep my money, the insurance says cancel for any reason. I’m not looking for money back just the potential to use with a year if I have to cancel.

Just to clarify...your FCCs are expired now?  If not and you say you are ready to pay in full...why not book?  If they *are* expired it will be much harder than if you were just nearing an expiration date.

I want to book for 24 but they expire in sept 23

  6. Princess is not allowing any extensions or transfers on this FCC. Anyone find a work around. I’m willing to pay for a much more expensive cruise in full if allowed to extend 9 months to use. Willing to commit and pay in full now. Thoughts???

  7. I have FCC's expiring this summer from a cruise that I couldn't board as i tested positive for Covid in July. I'd like to use it for a trip in 2024 as I already have my travel booked for this year. Has anyone had luck getting it extended if I book now but don't sail until 2024.

  8. I’ve received my FCC and refund for specialty dining and taxes/ port fees about 6 weeks after I was supposed to end my cruise.  I need to know if they are going to give me the per diem or not. I have private travel insurance but once you submit yiu can’t add items and you only have 90 days to file.

Then the next person should have worn an N95 to protect themselves.

Some people have built themselves a Covid Prison and are two years into their sentence.

I prefer to get vaxxed and boosted and get back to living.

If you are truly worried about catching covid wear an N95 all of the time. Otherwise you are going to get covid sooner or later since the virus is here to stay.

The good news is the vaccines and the therapeutics are working.

I wore n95 entire time and fought it on land tour. Quad Vaxxed  - just cold symptoms but stinks my vacation was ruined. At some point they should let people on the ship and they can continue thr 5 day isolation and then resume the cruise.

Because they simply don't care, or they don't dare upset their anti-mask base.

It will be interesting to see how the 2022 Alaska cruise season ends up.

I find it irritating that they are presenting one thing (protocols and safety) and giving their paying customers a completely different experience.

That's why I won't cruise Princess again---one and done for us.

We are done also. I’m all for freedoms and don’t believe in lockdowns but cruises are ripe for infection so either require masks be worn or don’t prohibit people from getting on with testing

  11. For this if you with the land tour first I’d seriously give it second thought. Princess isn’t even checking for negative tests before boarding the busses/trains. Then very few people masked and many are coughing a lung up. They will test you at your last stop before boarding the ship. I haven’t done it yet but people from Beacon (people who are doing the tests) tell me there are many many positives. Trip over back to Anchorage.
