We stopped and checked out the Mardi Gras Theater located all the way forward on Decks 6 & 7. It seemed a bit small, but the comfy seats with a cup holder was a plus…..

It was now after 1:30 so we decided to head back to the cabin to see if it was ready. The door was locked, and our sail & sign cards were outside. This is cabin # 11374…..

Looking forward to the rest of your review, we were on the Mardi Gras in February and had a bump out balcony OMG loved it.   So glad we have one booked for the Celebration next February as well !!

I am doing a b2b 2/2023 but changing rooms after fight leg. Both rooms have a bump out, did you feel like the surrounding cabins could see in your room? Can I ask what you liked about the bump out balcony? tiA

  3. Looking for advice for vacation insurance. Booked  vacation myself, probably not a good idea but too late now, Flying to Puerto Vallarta and then flying directly to Orlando For A b2b Mardi Gras Cruise in early 2023. My first cruise has insurance on it thru Carnival but not the second one yet. Does anyone have any suggestions about getting coverage for the whole trip or if its necessary and I can just go thru Carnival directly? Someone suggested insuremytrip. I spoke to them and they told me if I tested positive for Covid in Mexico no insurance would cover except maybe trip delayment. That wouldn't help me thought because if I got sick in Mexico I assume when I could fly I would want to go home, not on a cruise.

That's because their system defaults to thinking that everything was paid by credit card.  They will be mailing you a new gift card.  Carnival gift cards are NOT reloadable.  Even if they wanted to put the money back on the gift card, it simply cannot be done (caveat - if the transaction was cancelled before being finalized, the money would go back to the card, but this is very, very rare).

The tie up on buying the replacement excursion cleared after about an hour. Late last night, I got an email from Carnival acknowledging the cancellation of the original excursion and saying that money would be 'put back into my account' within five to seven business days. It did not clarify if that was going to be an onboard credit as nothing would set was said about putting it on a gift card.

just had this issue, purchased wrong item with gifted and cancelled order. call the gift card number on the website, give them the number on the card you used and cancelled, they told me they will research the cancellation and replace the card within 7 days. they do not refund to the same card

just opened my front door and found an envelope from Fed ex, inside was my new Carnival gift card, shocked at how fast I received it!!!

Anyone know if you book the steakhouse for the first night online, if you still get the complimentary bottle of wine? Or only if you book onboard?

I booked the steakhouse my first night, its my 60th birthday. How do I get a free bottle of wine? thank you!!!

We are on the 10-night Carnival Pride sailing from Barcelona and got a call to upgrade to the Vista wrap-around balcony suite.  The upgrade is an additional 2/3rds (66%) of what we paid for the balcony room.  Just wondering if it is worth pursuing.  How much extra would you pay for this upgrade?  I've never stayed in a suite!

don't have an answer but can tell you I almost booked one for $4,000 for a 7 night cruise which is a lot lower than the normal price. on the exact date of Carnival's 50th anniversary they had a crazy sell that only lasted 2 hours. I booked a cloud 9 Suite for half the normal cost, just so you know it is possible to get deals if they don't sell.

  7. I watch several vlogs from cruisers and they say its a tie between Rudi's and Chibang. I booked the steakhouse and Rudi's, previous cruisers have said they waited until they got on the ship to book and couldn't get a reservation. Hope this helps!
