  1. I will be on Freedom of the seas in a couple weeks and originally booked an interior cabin. I put in a bid for a promenade view interior just so I had a window for people watching lol. I bid the minimum which was $50 total and was awarded my upgrade exactly a month before sailing.

  2. I can't find the previous post but someone who worked for Royal/port said it was something they were testing out on Freedom. I sailed on Freedom the week of 1/8 with a check in time of 12pm and I'm Platinum and my set sail pass turned purple after doing my health check and it listed "express boarding". I arrived in my uber to port at 11:45 and saw a separate line for "Express boarding" and was through security and on ship by 11:56. Pretty quick!

  3. I had a mani and pedi done on Anthem a couple weeks ago during our Valentine week cruise. It was mani/pedi with shellac and that was $159 when I scheduled onboard but I got 10% off with the Gold status offer. Way too pricey than my local salon but it was my birthday week so I thought I would treat myself plus my work schedule didn't allow me time to go before the trip and my feet were in need of care before hitting the pool deck. 😂 Very relaxing during the treatment as I had a view of the ocean and people watched those walking the track.

  4. We booked a future sailing through Next Cruise a couple weeks ago. I was curious if anyone knew how far in advance can you start viewing/booking things for your sailing on cruise planner? It's still a ways out (about 300 or so days until our sailing) but of course already excited to get the ball rolling. The only thing showing up for me right now to view/purchase are Spa Services. 🙃

  5. This is from the RCI website:

    • Vaccinated guests must show a negative result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 2 days before boarding day. Kids age 5 to 11 who have been vaccinated may present proof of full vaccination and follow the testing protocols for vaccinated guests.

The earliest you can get tested is on 2/10 (Thursday) - two days before your sailing (Saturday). I would suggest taking an antigen test instead since PCR results have been taking longer to get back. We sail on Anthem on 2/11 and we just booked our rapid antigen test for 2/10.
