me thinks RCI should give you and those who completed ArriveCan some OBC for say $30 or so. I mean you behaved and deserve to be rewarded Yes........

Wondering if I will have to do this in late August? time will tell

The folks I talked to that had this problem on my Quantum sailing last week were each given $100 in onboard credits, but only to the ones that complained to the crew. Two couples I spoke with complained and got OBC, two couples I spoke with that did not complain did not get OBC.

So the key is to complain. :)

  2. Different ship, but I developed minor COVID symptoms in the middle of the night just before docking back in Seattle on Quantum of the Seas yesterday. Took an antigen test as soon as I got home, and it came up positive. Feeling like absolute dog poo today, but not nearly as bad as a lot of people have reported.

Despite all the precautions, it's obviously possible for people to test negative before boarding, but still be carriers and spread the virus around the ship. It is what it is, and it won't stop me from cruising.

I hope they get the line situation fixed, we are going next month and I know my 80 year old mother won't be able to stand in line that long.

I was on the May 4 sailing on Quantum from Seattle, and the same thing happened. I was pretty early and didn't have any problems, but by 1pm, chaos ensued. Many people were standing in line in the terminal for 4+ hours.

  4. So glad to have found this thread! I did some caches in each port on my first cruise to Alaska in August 2021. I'll be heading up again in May 2022 on Quantum of the Seas. Would be great to have an event on board if there are any other geocachers on the ship.
