  1. We arrive at 12:30am at FLL with a family of 5 adults.  Reservations at the Intercontinental.  Best reliable transportation that will have enough space for luggage (likely 10 pieces)?  Tried rental cars, but all closed at that time.  SAS does not take reservations after 3pm.  Could Uber, but concerned not enough room for luggage.  Are there van taxis available that late at FLL?  Any reliable and safe suggestions?

Did you ever get an answer to this?  We are flying into LGA later this year and are having issues finding transportation options from LGA to anything near the NJ cruise port.  Thanks!

    Further Details:

Day before Cruise: land at 5:00 PM

    Party : 6 adults, 1 pre-teen

may do dinner in NYC (suggestions accepted!)

It's terrible that we don't have much time in NYC to really see anything, but this is hand we were dealt.

We ended up using Uber black from

LGA to NJ.  Super easy.  Then took Uber to cruise port and from port to Manhattan.  Scheduled Uber back to LGA.   It was extremely easy and felt very safe.

  3. Hi, we are flying into LGA (much cheaper than EWR for us) for cruise on Anthem end of July.  It will be me and my husband and our 3 adult kids.  We have never been to NYC, so we are NEWBIES!

    1. Looking for transportation options from LGA to a hotel near the port (Jersey City maybe) with easy access to NYC or Statue of Liberty.   We will have at least 6 bags and 5 adults. We arrive at MIDNIGHT on Thursday night/Friday morning before Saturday departure.
    2. Day of cruise- How do we get from hotel in Jersey City, etc to port?
    3. End of cruise- Transportation from Cape Liberty Bayonne back to midtown?  Have hotel booked near Times Square (Holiday inn Express South) for additional 4 days to sight see in NYC after cruise.
    4. Best and safest way from midtown to LGA for flight home LATE on a Saturday night?

  5. Can you provide links to the "terrible" reviews on the Disney boards? I did a search on Radisson on the Disney forum and the worst thing I could find that was said was that the standard rooms are a bit small. We're booked ther for the night before our Freedom cruise in September so if there's anything I should be aware of, it would be nice to know while there's still time to cancel and book elsewhere. A small room I can deal with, it's just DH and me.

Here is one thread and the other thread on the Radisson and CIS. HTH!

  6. Hi, all. This thread is great! I've loved reading all the tips and seeing the pictures of the Freedom. She is beautiful!

We just booked an Eastern for June 6, 2010. We will be in connecting cabins, ocean view, on Deck 2. I am looking forward to our 1st RCI cruise. Are the kids' activities listed on the Compass, or are their separate kids' compass?

I would appreciate any tips or links. Thanks!

  7. I just book FOS for April 2010. I know it is a VERY long way off :( but I am still excited. We will be driving to Port Canaveral so does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay the night before the cruise? Thanks

Country Inn and Suites (we have only sailed Disney in the past and are trying Freedom for the 1st time next summer). It is WONDERFUL! Free breakfast, on-time shuttle, nice rooms, have a park rate (to park your car for the week). It's actually closer to the port than the Radisson. The Radisson has been getting TERRIBLE reviews on the Disney boards.

  8. We just booked cabin 6336 (E2 balcony in the middle of the hump) for the March 15th 6 day Western Caribbean. It will be just DH and me (our first cruise!) to celebrate my 40th birthday and our 14th wedding anniversary 10 days later. We are very excited.

Thanks for all the good info, and I love the pictures!

Question: would you suggest a large or small table for dining request? We prefer to eat alone generally.
