Neat idea.  I don't normally drink coffee, much less Starbucks.  But may just have to start  so I have an excuse to buy another souvenir.

Can someone please post a picture of one.

It’s a fun collectible and neat reminder of favorite cities, attractions (Disney, Universal) and states/countries on your travels.

  2. My wife and I collect the Starbuck Been There/You Are Here Series mugs and were excited to see Royal Caribbean add these to some of their ships.  We only collect the mugs for places where we've been though sometimes purchasing at the location isn't possible.  When we went to Turkey on Odyssey of the Seas, the Starbucks didn't have any in the store near the port, so we ended up ordering one off eBay.

When Royal Caribbean announced the Been There series for their ships, they showed Navigator as one of the options that would be released.  We sailed on that ship in October 2022, and I've been checking eBay for months but haven't seen one listed.  I've seen Allure, Odyssey, Mariner, Icon, Wonder, etc.

Anyone been on the Navigator lately?  Are they selling the Navigator Been There mugs at Starbucks?

If they are selling them and you're sailing soon, maybe consider picking one up and price gouging us collectors on eBay. 🙂

    Happy sailing!

Ok, I 'm back. Had a "naughty Voom " experience.  Was informed that I  was using too many devices. 🤨 Only allowed 2 per cabin, not two per cruiser.

Can you clarify?  I thought they didn’t care how many devices you used, but if you paid for 2 devices you could only be logged into 2 devices at any give time.

  4. We’re visiting Athens on Friday, May 20. We currently have a Best of Athens tour booked with Royal Caribbean excursions. It’s an 8 hour tour and longer than we’re likely to enjoy.

The Acropolis and Parthenon are on our must do list.    I’ll have Yanni’s Live from the Acropolis playing on my air pods and growing up in Nashville with a full size replica of the Parthenon I know I can’t miss seeing the original.

The metro stations near the cruise port and Acropolis make this appear to be something we could navigate on our own.

Any feedback on doing the Acropolis and Parthenon on our own vs a scheduled tour?   Any safety concerns with the metro?

I know we’d want to pre purchase tickets if self touring.

We have also considered keeping the Royal excursion and heading back to the ship on our own if the tour was becoming too long.

    Thanks.

  5. Paid for the upgrade and the RC reservation number didn’t change. Thanks!

If your reservation number didn’t change, you’ll still get the double points (36). If they rebooked under a new res # you won’t.

As long as you paid to upgrade to the JS you should get the pts. If you used royal up you do not get the extra suite pt.

  6. We booked a 9 night cruise in May 2021 for May 2022 on Odyssey of the Seas through a travel agency.  We originally booked an Oversized Balcony cabin and based on the Double Point offer from RC’s website, would expect to receive 18 crown and anchor points.

Today, we modified that reservation to a Junior Suite. That should yield 36 crown and anchor points, correct?  Just making sure this change to an existing reservation doesn’t disqualify us from the double point offer.

The FAQ re: double point offer on RC website.

    • The double points offer is exclusive to our most loyal guests, the Crown & Anchor Society members! Members will receive double Cruise Points on bookings made through September 30, 2021 for sailings departing January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022.

One other question.  This is the first cruise where we used a travel agency. While there is certainly a benefit of some OBC, our interaction with this TA hasn’t been that great. Never get a return call from the person we originally booked with, adding travel insurance to our flights was a multi-week process and agents we do speak with don’t seem overly knowledgeable.  I end up waiting on hold while they call Royal Caribbean anyway.

Should we give another TA a chance or just stick with booking directly with RC in the future?

    Thanks and happy cruising.
